2022 New Year Greeting video - from Mary & the Young's family

Since I started the Young Living podcast, The Wild Drop, I received so many requests for more information about our roots and how Young Living was built. That tells me that people are catching on about who we are and what the Young Living mission is. And I'm so grateful for my wonderful wife Kate. We've been married for nearly a year and a half, and with her by my side, my life just gets better and better. She's always there encouraging me and helping me with the things I have to do. She takes care of most of the finances, just like you did, Mom, for Dad.

Yes. I love managing the finances. That's part of what I've been studying in college. I have to admit that some of my classes have been pretty tough, but since business is my major, it's all part of the learning experience. Jacob and I have a lot of fun together because we like to do many of the same things, like riding horses, driving cars, and spending time in the mountains. Jacob even taught me to snowmobile, but I'm not as good as he is yet. He's so much like his dad. I just like to go fast. And Joseph likes to go fast too, on the soccer field. Joseph even played soccer with the kids everywhere we have gone with the foundation. He is lucky that soccer is a sport that children love everywhere in the world.

Yes, I love playing soccer and it's been fun playing with kids I've met in different countries. But you know what? The girls staying at Mary's Lighthouse in Uganda were really strong and fast. Those girls were no pushover—I had to move fast to keep up. But I love our foundation, and I love knowing that our foundation is helping so many people around the world. And it is because of your donations that the foundation is able to impact lives for the better. I remember my dad always talking about how important it is to give back. He would say that the more money we give, the more God will bless us with good things in our lives. A perfect example of this is when Dad learned that the run-down building at the edge of the jungle in Chongang in Ecuador was a school, he immediately knew he had to do something to help. There were 42 children of all grades enrolled at the school, and there was only one teacher who came once in a while to teach, and the building didn't have electricity or water. So what did Dad do? He built them a beautiful new school—the Young Living Academy—which has continued to grow, and now about 350 students are receiving an education at the Young Living Academy. So many of you have signed up to sponsor a student at the school, for which we are extremely grateful. I feel blessed to have been able to participate in several foundation trips and travel to other places in the world.

Yes, I did. And I loved the people there, and they were so grateful, especially the children, so that they could study in the evening. I also learned a little bit about electricity, so it was a win-win situation.

Oils in every home—that's a big statement and a bigger challenge. But with everyone working for the same purpose, more and more people will be blessed with the oils. I love Young Living's mission of getting oils into every home in the world. Dad always said that it is important to be financially healthy because then you can help more people.

Mom, do you mean essential oils?

I loved being in Ecuador. Experiencing the farm there was like seeing a whole new world, and has certainly given me an appreciation of ylang ylang and palo santo.

Yes, that's a great oil too. I think it was a wonderful idea to have an oil collection comprised of the oils distilled at each individual farm. We know when you visit the farms, you are going to love these new collections.

So, Mom, what is the oil blend for the new year?

Personally, I vote for Winter Nights.

And I suggest Highest Potential.

How about One Voice, our 2021 convention blend for the foundation? Don't we want to raise our voices together for growth and prosperity?
