Hi, my name is Lisa Bertrand. I'm here backstage at Alexandre Vauthier. The look is really based on a Brooke Shields 80s look. So it's that kind of makeup from the 80s—really earthy tones, and we're doing a very light base. The look is really about the brow, so we're pushing it as far as we possibly can. A very neutral lip, very little bit of contouring, a tiny bit of color, a bit of highlight on the cheeks. So the overall is a very strong, sporty, almost natural look.

I love the makeup, it's just like really strong. I love the eyebrows, I love the little brown smokey on the eyes, and it's really like clean, the skin is perfect. It's just like fresh. I love that.

I wanted to focus on all the codes of Couture from the Golden Age of the 80s and 90s, and use many elements that illustrate this period like dotted stockings, bows and ribbons. And all this is disrupted by some very, very bright colors and sharp graphic design, creating a rather original look. Some of the dresses seen from the back are huge opera ball gowns, but from the front they are worn in such a way that you can practically wear them to the beach.

Another... reusing amazing fabrics on hologram pants. We have leather darts a bit reminiscent of motorbiking caps, and thus evokes a desire of freedom, of independence, of power. But it's all very, very sophisticated.

We created a fabric that mixes all the colors of our palettes. All the threads are taken apart and rewoven to become a tweed. We made an outfit with black patent leather, kind of deconstructed silhouettes, and I think it looks pretty nice.

There's a dress which is a puzzle of tulle, lace, chiffon, organza, and velvet, resulting in a dynamic design—darted velvet crossed with the lace. It's a very contemporary look.
Season 16 couture... I'm happy to have a great casting of models. I hope they are happy and excited to be in my show. They give me energy. It's the first test before sales—if the girls are excited about the clothes, it's usually a sign that sales will follow.
