Hi everyone, my name is Nunzio Quacquarelli, President of QS Quacquarelli Symonds Limited. I'm here to share my story of making a social impact through my career, which I hope will help you think about your own career and future. My father emigrated to the UK from Italy in the 1950s with no formal education, eventually becoming a restaurateur to fund my studies. I attended Cambridge University for economics and later the Wharton School for my MBA, where I founded QS in 1990. At Wharton, I reflected on my skills and passions, realizing I could leverage my experience editing student magazines to create a business that informs people about education choices. With a student team, we won the Moot Corp Business Venture Plan Competition, which provided a foundation for QS. QS's mission has been consistent since 1990: to enable motivated people worldwide to fulfill their potential through education achievement, international mobility, and career development. Our vision is to empower a billion future learners as the most trusted partner. We publish the QS World University Rankings, holding a 65% global share in media mentions, and our websites attract over 55 million unique visitors. We work with over 1,300 university clients and governments, connect students through events in 60 countries, and provide data insights to institutions. We also collaborate with corporates and governments, including a meeting with Prime Minister Modi to discuss India's higher education evolution. To inspire young people to make an impact, QS supports the QS World Merit Charity, which offers scholarships and internships. You can contribute by becoming a social entrepreneur, identifying SDG-aligned projects, or participating in Future 17—a consortium of universities like Exeter and the University of Hong Kong—enabling students to work on global challenges. Submit impacts for peer review and rewards. In summary, my journey with QS has been fulfilling, and the opportunity for you to make a social impact has never been greater. Please reach out to me via email or LinkedIn for more information. Thank you.
