I decided to come here because having only, let's say, two years of studies and already being integrated into the company, and anyway it's a two-year internship that you can then present to another company saying, 'Look, I did this, this, and this,' and moreover studying. In these two years of the course, subjects like mechanics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, and electronics are covered. About 2,000 hours that we do here are mainly spent in the company. Within the institute, we also carry out teamworking activities, that is, group work where during the year you have to complete a project chosen by the student group. This structure, long desired but missing in Italy, is a formidable alternative to university, in my opinion, even if it doesn't preclude that choice later, because it brings together job demand and supply. Carel is a company that deals with the production and commercialization of electronics for controlling refrigeration, air conditioning, and dehumidification. The subject that was most useful to me was that concerning management and the design of mechanical parts. I recommend this course to other people because those who graduate, especially from high school, get a good preparation. Besides high school, it's a good entry into the world of work. We have taken years to arrive at these processes, to refine the details, and that is what we want to teach the IETS students about the importance of industrial and corporate culture.

Luigi Luciani here. We are in Vicenza, in Padua, here I made a mistake. I have seen many different cases, but all with a common thread: bringing young people closer to businesses. And businesses, I believe this is a value, an important value for young people because it's easier to place them and make themselves known within businesses. But for businesses, it's about preparing people who have the capability and competence, and who also know the problems we will face. I was saying earlier in the video that businesses are places of culture in great truth. And look, in these days, an agreement has been signed on efficiency, on how to bring back competitiveness to this country. Here, efficiency doesn't grow – well, this is a matter of culture, habit, organization, methods. And what better than having young people trained to perform important roles? What better than making these young people understand during the training phase what the needs of businesses are? And I am convinced that this will lead to having, and we already see it, and I then... of this speech, I would like to make a request to Undersecretary Ugolini. And we see that businesses appreciate this, but we don't have enough young people to meet the requests. And so, what is my request? I would like to open another course. We are already doing two, and we would like to reach the third because, therefore, I believe this is a great advantage for businesses that save on training, but above all, and I insist, not only in the selfish aspect but also in the aspect, it is the way to fill that lack of specialized technicians that today exists in our businesses, especially in territories like these where precision mechanics, electronics, and electrical engineering are important sectors that must maintain international competition.
