Hello Felix, why are you taking the time for this interview today? We want to introduce you to a broader audience, and for good reason. You have been a managing partner at Rödl & Partner since April 2022, and before that you were not only CFO but also led various internal departments, finances, taxes, etc. What tasks have you taken on in management now?

What is especially important to you in handling your big tasks?

Rödl & Partner's philosophy is teamwork and good exchange. Digitalization has always been a priority; we invested early and through SAP we laid the foundation. During the crisis, we stood by our employees and signaled continuity quickly. Our employer brand is strong because we give employees freedom, development, and responsibility. We have over 100 offices in 50 countries, different cultures but shared values. We offer modern workplaces and mobile work. We need to talk more about that.

So, the good thing is that the digital transformation has already been driven very well through Rödl & Partner. Nevertheless, the end of the road has not really been reached. What are the next steps in digital transformation?

You say digital transformation, but we already started early. We invested in digitalization and introduced SAP, creating the foundation. The next steps are clear: we want to relieve our employees through process automation, standardize processes globally, and use smart tools for both internal and client-facing processes to enhance the digital client experience.

Hmm, I'm not that deep into the material, but the question arises: What is automatable and what will always be high-end consulting?

High-end consulting is something that will never stop. We are the caretaker of our clients, personally. Not all processes can be automated. We will automate what we can standardize, but the special consulting that makes us strong will remain. We have great personalities who look after clients individually.

Let's come to the last question, Felix. If you could look five years ahead, what would have to happen in those five years for it to be a good five years?

Yes, that's not so easy. We have set some goals: grow on a solid financial basis, expand market share, continue advising global leaders, optimize processes and automate where possible. Very important to me is reducing our CO2 footprint. Also, employees are central with health programs. If we succeed in these, in two to three years we can talk about a successful engagement.
