I would like to call here next to me for a special greeting Dr. Paolo Piantoni, our director, whom I want to thank on behalf of the entire staff of Confindustria Bergamo for the organization and for all the support they give us. Thank you, Paolo. And now I would call Engineer Giovanni Gemmani, who will give us a welcome greeting on behalf of the SCM Group. Thank you.

Good afternoon and welcome to everyone. First of all, thanks to your President Scaglia who thought of this moment, also challenging the somewhat hectic time for us in this renovation of this historic site of the Val Brembana that you know. Greetings also to Boccia, the president who honored us and made us grateful. And then a special thanks to all the institutions present — I won't list them all, also because I don't know them, also because as you know we are from Rimini. Thanks also to the organizers of this event, because actually being able to set up an open-air construction site and transform it into a conference hall so well appointed — I can assure you it was truly a miracle in such a short time, especially for the view I can enjoy from this stage. Finally, allow me also to thank Davide Masnada of CMS, who managed to reconcile end-of-year production with this construction site and this conference, and contributed to the success of the event. Finally, I would like to involve you in a thank you, because at this moment we are inaugurating a new course for a historic industrial site like this former textile mill, which unfortunately closed due to bankruptcy and today is transformed into a mechanical manufacturing site. This has a very important symbolic value, because it shows what the Italian miracle can do: always being able to start again from the ashes of a defeat. This revaluation of this place is not only symbolic but also human, because in reality here today we are revaluing not only the spaces but also the expertise, the specific expertise of the valley in manufacturing, a manufacturing that previously had more technical specializations in textiles and today is converted into mechanical, particularly in the machinery of CMS machine tools, known throughout the world for their technology and performance. And here I link to the theme of the person, the theme that will be discussed later, because the person is what made the difference: competences, and especially from competences the competitiveness that arises from them, are the factor that truly makes the difference in all companies. First of all, also in the SCM Group, a group that has more than 65 years of history and has come this far by enhancing the skills of the person and the person who makes a difference compared to the competition. This is also true, especially for CMS. CMS is a company deeply rooted in the territory and has great growth opportunities. But these growth opportunities are all linked to being able to find resources in the valley, as you call it. I conclude by saying that this is not only valid for the SCM Group or CMS. I think that coming out of this great crisis that we all have gone through, for all Italian companies that want to invest and want to grow in Italy, the constraints today are no longer given by resources.
