I'm with Max Branchi, who is the Director of Human Resources, Sustainability, and many other things at an important company like Saipem, an Italian excellence that brings innovation and sustainability to the world. But enough talking about sustainability, let's talk about concrete actions. You have created a patent titled 'Carbon Neutral,' which means what? Thank you.

Thank you. First of all, it's a pleasure to be here. A greeting to everyone. We are an enabler of the entire energy transition, working as an EPC company, one of the top five global companies based in Italy. We help with energy transition in various ways, including wind power, which is very important, and carbon capture with a patent called Blue Enzyme 200 that captures about 200 tons of CO2 per day. We also have patents for plastic recycling and are leaders in transportation. Sustainability is integral to our business.

So you capture the CO2, store it, and then make it available for other activities. It started in England, and you are bringing it forward in Finland.

Massimiliano Branchi2:39

Yes, many companies are asking to use our patent, but the biggest issue is getting countries to allow CO2 storage for reuse. England is a pioneer. In one case, it's used directly for a paper mill, not stored. In other cases, like Ravenna, we are working with Snam and Eni on storage. We could be an important provider for CO2 management.

You have set concrete objectives for the short, medium, and long term. In 2025, to make all your offices carbon neutral, which means what?

Massimiliano Branchi3:49

Essentially, all our offices will be carbon neutral in 2025, meaning zero CO2 emissions. All offices worldwide will have zero emissions into the atmosphere.

So zero emissions into the atmosphere. Then in 2030, you have another objective?

Massimiliano Branchi4:07

By 2035, we will reduce CO2 production by 50% across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Scope 3 includes our suppliers, mostly small and medium enterprises we help to emit less, aiming for zero emissions by 2050.

We are talking about a company with 32,000 employees and an induced workforce of 200,000. What do you do for the communities and territories?

Massimiliano Branchi4:34

We are in over 70 countries with various sustainability programs for territories, welfare for employees, and external environment management, including cultural and medical campaigns for local populations.
