Ultimately, it makes reporting faster for our customers, radiologists and cardiologists. Through automatic processing methods, it allows us to prepare complex three-dimensional and four-dimensional cases so that the user can immediately start reporting with a single click on the patient, which ultimately saves the user a great deal of time. We expect to save up to 70% of time compared to traditional reporting methods in complex cases.

The feedback was excellent. I must say, I was personally surprised by how positive it was. Our 34 customers worldwide who participated in the alpha and beta testing gave us feedback from various sides, both from the clinical perspective and the user interface, but also from the integration of Syngovia into existing IT infrastructure.

We officially released the software a few months ago and are currently breaking through the 100 mark, with slightly more than 100 installations running, of which approximately half are already in clinical operation.

The central focus is naturally radiology, and here particularly the reporting of complex cases. However, Syngovia has a huge advantage: because it's a small server-based system, you can use Syngovia in all areas of the hospital, whether in surgery and the OR, on the wards, or with other specialties. Wherever images are needed or must be shown, Syngovia can be used. This means you have reporting on one side and image distribution on the other, and you can also leverage Syngovia for the existing IT landscape. One of the advantages is that you don't have to replace existing IT systems. Syngovia is classically middleware that allows you to build on existing PACS and RIS solutions. We have established contracts and cooperations with 18 manufacturers in the market, allowing us to call up Syngovia from both PACS and RIS, as our customers want to represent it in their clinical workflow.

No, Syngovia works in both small and large hospitals. Because Syngovia can be built extremely modularly, you can today deploy a single user on a single workstation, all the way up to very complex solutions for university hospitals and hospital chains that are progressively moving toward Syngovia.

The user can access image data through various methods. Syngovia is a small server system with a central application server and a client that you can install on a PC, an Apple workstation, or a PACS/RIS workstation. Beyond that, we also offer web solutions, so-called zero-footprint clients, that can be installed and accessed from anywhere. The trend is not only toward web solutions but also toward mobile devices like iPhones and iPads. Here we are offering for the first time in the industry a solution specifically tailored to iPad requirements. We have two iPad apps that bring Syngovia functionality to our customers and end users. In particular, this enables radiologists and cardiologists to show images to their patients and explain the next therapy steps at the bedside.
