Good morning, everyone. Thanks for coming early. It's the second day of ECC, which is 8 years old, same as WalletConnect. I feel a special connection since we were born around the same time. I'll share an update on WalletConnect's journey. Today, I'm presenting 'From Transactions to Payments.' We're transitioning from a developer-focused world to merchant payments. I'm Pedro Gomes, founder of WalletConnect, which now connects over 700 wallets. Crypto has found its place in tokenization and money market efficiency, but payments remain underserved. Payments require authorization, clearing, and settlement, but crypto only does settlement. Push payments run the process in reverse with escrows, while pull payments are simpler and better. WalletConnect Pay is a universal flow for both in-person and online payments. It offers benefits like stablecoins' accessibility, faster settlement, no chargebacks, and lower costs. It's an open-loop system compatible with 700 wallets, and at launch, it provides 2% cashback, with potential for more. This can drive mainstream adoption. Merchants can integrate via existing payment service providers like Ingenico, rolling out in Europe, Singapore, Nigeria, and Argentina. If you're developing a wallet, check our documentation. Hi, good morning. Great approach. Thank you. I've been looking forward to doing payments with crypto. How do you get it to the merchants? How do you get it to the online shop? I checked before coming to Cannes, and a crypto-friendly website listed about 20 places, but most are expensive hotels or restaurants. How do you get it into a wide market? Building the foundation is part of it, but how do you get it out into the market?
