A few very brief words, dear attendees. It is a great honor to be here today in Piazza Libra, the heart of the city of Alba, a place where our group has its historic roots. And it is an even greater honor to be here on the occasion of an important act of celebration of my father's memory by the city.

The deeply appreciated initiative to name the city's main square after him, Michele Ferrero, represents for my family, for the group, and for me personally, a tangible gesture of gratitude for the profound bond we have always had with the city of Alba.

His qualities as an entrepreneur and innovator, capable of anticipating the times, combined with his enlightened pragmatism, allowed Ferrero to become the multinational it is today — third in its sector, employing 33,000 people, operating in more than 50 countries around the world.

But above all, it was the extraordinary moral strength of its founder, and of his followers, with their loyalty to family — an extended family — to their own beliefs, and to their homeland, that is, this land, which constitutes the most defining element of the Ferrero model.

A model that creates wealth and redistributes it in harmony, as the Mayor underscored, between the city and its industry, between employees and the entrepreneur, with the sole shared objective of making the city an even better place.

And today, this very city that Michele Ferrero always sought in his heart to make a better place, demonstrates its will to keep alive what his work — thanks to you, to your support — has generated.

For this, I am pleased, on behalf of myself, my mother, and my family, to reaffirm Ferrero's commitment to remain faithful to the foundational and trust-based pact with the city of Alba.

And to thank Monsignor Giacomo Lanzetti, the Mayor of Alba Maurizio Marello, the President of the City Council Roberto Giacino, the City Council, parliamentarians, and all other authorities present. I would like to leave this moment with a single thought that resides in our hearts, which is to say, we all know it — Ferrero and Alba have remained faithful to each other for 70 years. We will remain faithful to the city of Alba. Thank you.
