Shannon Bible1:02
Hello! Thank you. I'm back here again, but not for long. I'm thrilled to see all of you again at the Leadership Retreat. As I've mentioned before, since I joined doTERRA, I've been part of several teams and departments — recognition, account management, EV. I've worked on various digital projects and IT initiatives. I want you to know that many people in doTERRA corporate are cheering you on, rooting for you, and on your side. They care about you and want to help your business succeed.
When Emily first talked to me about doTERRA's customer experience, I was very excited and curious about what she meant, and I'm still amazed. I asked myself, what is customer experience? But before we dive in, I want to tell you what completely changed my life last Christmas. As an amazing, attentive, and loving wife, I gave my husband a gift that I had wanted for myself for a very, very long time. And when he opened it — of course he received plenty of other gifts too — what I had prepared for him was an air fryer. Who here knows this fryer? Yes, you know it! Sometimes it takes me a little longer to move on to new things. I know I should talk about other things more than a fryer, but it's a great example, and I think this fryer is very underrated. For me, it's a treasure right now.
I took the fryer and put it on the kitchen counter. We don't have a big kitchen, but this fryer immediately claimed a big spot because it's now the most important part of our kitchen. I won't name the brand, but it's so simple to use — there are buttons and simple pictures, like broccoli. I just press it, put the food inside, and I'm not exactly an amazing cook, but now with the fryer, everything is easier. There are buttons like chicken, shrimp, and thanks to it, I've become the best cook my family has ever had. My seven-year-old son mainly eats things from this fryer now.
So at our place we have bread, butter, bananas, some berries, and what we added was everything from this fryer. And we also added Brussels sprouts to his diet. He's really not a great eater, but Brussels sprouts from this fryer — he loves them. It's our favorite vegetable, and we truly love it. In a classic oven, how long does it take to prepare Brussels sprouts? How long do you think? Who said 35 minutes? You're right — it's 25 to 35 minutes in a classic oven at 200 degrees. And how long does it take the oven to preheat? About 10 minutes — 8 to 10 minutes. How long do you think it takes in this fryer? It's 13 minutes to prepare the Brussels sprouts. And why am I such a fan of the air fryer? Because it provides tremendous value and an amazing user experience.
My life is more efficient thanks to this invention — exactly 12 minutes saved. It's easy to use; I press one or two buttons and it's done. The experience is quite fun — it beeps at you, then you shake the food a bit, and my experience with this fryer is amazing. Thanks to it, things are easier for me, my life is lighter.
Now, when it comes to the value and quality of doTERRA products, we've got that covered. Let's look at how we can improve the customer experience to make it more enjoyable, and that's what we'll focus on now. Customer experience is truly important. I love this quote: building customer experience doesn't happen accidentally — it happens through planning. We know that customer experience must be our priority, that we need real experts in this area, we need passionate and perceptive customers, and maybe customers who will help us identify areas that need improvement. And where do you think we'll find such doTERRA experts? Yes — it's you. All of you. You are the true experts on the doTERRA customer experience.
You know what your customers need and want, and you care about your teams on a personal level. There are no better experts than you, our leaders. We recognize and honor that. Even the most amazing technology in the world cannot replace the fundamental tool for building relationships between customers and a company — and that is the human touch. All our efforts would be pointless if we weren't aligned and working closely with you. So how do we do it? We find ways to listen to you — listen, listen, listen — because we want to hear from you.
We want your feedback and to open additional communication channels. We want your feedback on promotional offers, certain processes, new ideas, or requests. And when you provide these, they enter our system and get directed to the right people so we can take action. The same applies to our other communications. We want to speed up and streamline this process. We're also in the process of adding new and more analytical tools to our websites so we can quickly analyze issues that arise and address them immediately. We appreciate it when we receive information from you about something not working correctly.
We're also improving our analytical tools so we can see these things ourselves. We'll be doing customer journey mapping to identify where problems or errors occur. Links for your feedback will soon be more visible on our pages, and you can expect targeted surveys. Please participate in them — I promise we don't want to bombard you or your customers with surveys. However, it's an excellent opportunity for feedback. When we send you a targeted survey, we have a specific reason and we need your help because your opinion matters to us.
I consider myself an optimist and I'm very excited about all the good we can achieve when we focus on customer experience at doTERRA. But I'm also a realist because I know that together we can accomplish everything. You may have great ideas and feedback that we won't be able to implement immediately, but I want you to know that all your insights will be reviewed and are very valuable to us. So we'll start small. I believe in the power of consistency and diligence — step by step, we'll perfect this, continuously learning and improving. Thanks to small things, great things happen. Thank you for your attention.
