Bitcoin knows no borders. Strike is now authorized under MiCA, live across all 27 EU member states, now including Italy and Spain. Many had the chance to build the global Bitcoin company. Most chased altcoins and gambling. We didn't. One company. One focus. Bitcoin. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

Jack Mallers announced that Strike is now authorized under the European Union's Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA), granting the company a single license to serve all 27 EU member states. Previously, Strike operated in Europe under a patchwork of national regulations, which limited its product offerings in some countries. With MiCA authorization, Strike has expanded into Italy and Spain, which previously lacked access. Mallers emphasized Strike's Bitcoin-only focus, excluding altcoins, prediction markets, and NFTs, and highlighted features like no-fee dollar-cost averaging, free cold storage withdrawals, and tiered pricing that discounts active users. He noted Strike's profitability and its ambition to become a global Bitcoin financial institution, with plans to grow in Europe and work on Strike Canada. Mallers also mentioned that Strike may be the only Bitcoin firm holding both a BitLicense and a MiCA license.

Yo, what is going on Bitcoin? I have a very exciting announcement today. Strike is officially authorized under MiCA. It's a huge milestone. Our presence in Europe is here to stay, and not only here to stay, it's here to grow. This gives us an opportunity to become who we've always wanted to become for the European Bitcoiners out there. As always, whenever we have a big announcement at Strike, I like to put together a presentation, walk everyone through what we've built, why we built what we've built, why we're excited about what we've built, and then more importantly, give everyone an opportunity to leave comments, ask questions, open dialogue, open conversation. We pride ourselves on customer focus, truth, transparency, authenticity. These are the things that make Strike Strike. So, without further ado, Bitcoin knows no borders. We all know that. We don't want Strike to, either. We want Strike to be the Bitcoin financial institution for Bitcoiners all over the world, built by Bitcoiners for Bitcoiners. So, as I mentioned, Strike Europe is now authorized under MiCA. What is MiCA? What's the relevance of this? MiCA is the European Union's Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation. To make a long story short, because I'm not sure how much you care. Obviously, if you do, leave questions. It gives a company like Strike one license to serve all 27 EU member states. So, one framework. Previously before, that wasn't the case. There was maybe the different EU member states were patchworked together with different regulations, different rules, different frameworks. And so, we've been in Europe kind of for a few years. We were able to serve some of the member states with some of our products, with some of our services, but some of our customers are like, "Hey, Americans have this feature. Why don't we?" Or "Hey, we think you can build this feature, why aren't you working on it?" And it was predominantly because we did not have the authorization under MiCA. We did not have the ability to fully serve the 27 EU member states in the full capacity that we wanted to. And so we have been in Europe and now we are here for good with ambitions as far as the eye can see. Sky is the limit. Block by block, brick by brick, we can now fully build for Europe. So the first update, which is a big one, is the markets that we were not in in Europe, we are now in. So in particular, Italy and Spain did not have access to Strike before we were authorized under MiCA and now they do. So we are incredibly excited to be able to serve all of the 27 EU member states. Spain, Italy, if you haven't already, give Strike a download, deposit some euros, stack some sats, let us know what you think, and let us know how we can serve you. And then as long as I'm here and making this presentation and reminding everyone out in Europe that likes Bitcoin who we are, we only care about Bitcoin. Strike is a Bitcoin-only company. And I mean, no altcoins, no prediction markets, no NFTs, no distractions. And you know, really why I started the business is I've been in Bitcoin for almost 14 years now. I think many, many, many, many people have had a chance to build the global Bitcoin financial institution, the global Bitcoin bank. What does a Bitcoiner need to buy it, securely hold it, transfer it, borrow against it? What are all the services that a Bitcoiner needs as we move to a Bitcoin standard, as Bitcoin becomes the world reserve currency? Many companies end up getting distracted and getting into other currencies, listing equities and stocks, getting into prediction markets, getting into art. And I wanted to build a company that kept the time preference low and kept the focus on Bitcoin. And so that's exactly that, I would say Strike is becoming very unique in how big we are, our scale around the world, the license that we have, and it's about the fact that we are building for people that think in decades, not in quarters. We're building an institution that's here to last and an institution that's built for a worldview that Bitcoin's going to become increasingly important not only in our lives, but in our kids' lives and in their kids' lives. And so I don't know the technical answer to this. We might be the only Bitcoin firm in the world that has both a bit license and a MiCA license and I think that this speaks to our time preference and how low we keep it and where we keep our focus. We do not get distracted. We do not get tempted by any of these other opportunities. We are going to, no matter how long it takes and no matter how hard it is, we are an unstoppable force. We believe so much in Bitcoin and what it can do for the world. We stop at nothing. And so with MiCA, we can serve now all 27 states in the European Union. We're fully licensed throughout the United States. We're currently working on Strike Canada. And we are a Bitcoin company built by Bitcoiners for Bitcoiners and our product services and our suites and what you can expect more of from Strike in Europe is this idea of being a global Bitcoin financial institution, almost like a Bitcoin bank in a way. So we have a brokerage set of products and services. You have things like target orders. You have things like no fee DCA. We have extremely cheap and transparent pricing, which actually gets cheaper the more that you use us. So if you're a very active Strike customer, we continue to discount and discount and discount the fees. Custody, transparent, secure, multi-sig, globally distributed, obviously free. And then we have a slew of financial services we're incredibly excited to hopefully bring to Europe. So right now our American customers have things like bill pay, lines of credit, get paid in Bitcoin, and we're excited to finally be able to start to focus a lot more in Europe, build a lot more for the European Bitcoiners out there. So, as I mentioned, we want to be as cheap as we possibly can, as trusted as we possibly can, as transparent as we possibly can, and as focused on the Bitcoiner as we possibly can. So, for Strike, for example, I don't think it gets cheaper when you buy Bitcoin. You get to have a no-fee DCA, and then you can withdraw that Bitcoin to cold storage for free. We waive and handle the on-chain withdrawals for you guys with our batching infrastructure. So, this is real rails that Bitcoiners can rely on, no distractions when you tell your grandmother, or your friend, or your colleague to get involved in Bitcoin, they're not going to be marketed to gamble on the World Cup via prediction market. They're not going to get an altcoin in their face. We're building a new bank account for people that are interested in using money in different ways, however it benefits them, that is scarce, that is censorship-resistant, that nobody can inflate, that can move at the speed of light, all the properties that Bitcoin has that no other money does. And as a business, I mean, we continue to be profitable, growing, and here to stay. I referenced this earlier, but Strike is built to be here in 100 years. No matter how long it takes me, I am going to get Strike in every market around the world with every feature you guys need. I truly believe Bitcoin is the greatest innovation of my lifetime and it is the best use of my time and my company's time is to just stay humble, lower the time preference, stay focused, and chip away at building the dream Bitcoin financial institution. I mean, the reason I started Strike is there wasn't a Bitcoin company that I wanted to be a customer of around the world, that I wanted to work on around the world, that I wanted to be a shareholder and own equity in around the world. And there's lots of companies that kind of have Bitcoin integrated or maybe do one or two things, but there wasn't the Bitcoin company. And that's what we're building. And I mean, Strike at this point is a big, reliable business that, you know, said another way, we're not a wildcard company betting on the next thing. We're not a company that's going to disappear overnight. We're built for the long run and we're here to stay. So, the mission for us as this milestone passes us by is we want to serve as many Bitcoiners as we can for as long as we can. As long as you guys are willing to download our app and you align with our worldview, we want to do all that we can for you. You know, at the end of the day, I work for you guys. You guys decide how I spend my time, how I spend my energy, what we build, how we look, how we feel. So, we couldn't be more excited to have our 10 toes firmly planted in Europe and truly be able to do what we do best, which is build for Bitcoiners. So, with that, if you don't have Strike downloaded, you didn't know we were in Europe, you do now. Deposit some euros, deposit some of that filthy fiat, buy some Bitcoin, turn on a no-fee DCA, withdraw to cold storage for free, place a target order, check it out, see all the features we have available for you, and let us know what's missing because our focus in Europe is only going to grow from here. I could not be more excited. I'm going to go to all the conferences now throughout the year. We've got a lot planned for Europe, which we'll share soon. So, Italy and Spain, welcome. For those of you that don't have Strike downloaded all throughout the European Union, give it a try. Let us know what you think, and thanks for supporting us, and thanks for being a customer. We're a global Bitcoin company for global money. Bitcoin knows no borders, and doesn't matter how long regulators and governments force us, we are going to stay the course. We're not going to get distracted. We're going to be the Bitcoin company that Bitcoiners always wanted to exist. So, I'll check out all the questions and comments, and make sure that I'm accessible and available to serve the European Bitcoiner. Let us know what you think, and we could not be more excited. With that, I'll catch you guys on the internet. I think we got another big announcement tomorrow. So, I'll probably see you then. Cheers.
