To set the stage, I invite the leader whose vision continues to shape Tata Steel's global footprint, Mr. T. V. Narendran, CEO & MD of Tata Steel Limited.
Good afternoon everyone. I personally thank our Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, the MP from Jajpur, ministers, MLAs, and all dignitaries. Today is a significant milestone in our journey, marking the expansion of the Kalinganagar plant from 3 to 5 million tonnes per annum. This involves a total investment of over ₹20,000 crore. This facility is the most advanced steelmaking site in India, with the largest blast furnace in the country. It incorporates cutting-edge technology for sustainability, digitization, and safety. We are committed to creating jobs, supporting the community, and contributing to Odisha's growth. We are grateful to the Government of Odisha and all stakeholders for their support. This expansion will unlock downstream opportunities. Tata Steel has invested over ₹20,000 crore in Odisha, making us the single largest investor in any state in India. Together, we are building a responsible steel ecosystem aligned with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Odisha.

Jai Jagannath, Jai Maa Biraja. Today we have gathered for the inauguration of Tata Steel's expansion at Kalinganagar. This is a historic moment for Odisha's industrial journey. With the vision of our Chief Minister, Odisha is rapidly industrializing. This expansion from 3 to 5 MTPA is a testament to the state's conducive policies and investor trust. The new blast furnace is one of the best in the world. Downstream industries will flourish here, creating thousands of jobs. Our government is committed to ease of doing business under the double-engine government. I thank Tata Steel for their continued faith in Odisha. Jai Hind, Vande Utkala Janani.
