Inauguration of Safety Mobile App by Shri. Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL

Good morning to all. My greetings to all of you on the occasion of the 54th National Safety Day 2025. The theme of this year is safety and well-being crucial for Viksit Bharat. Yeah, warm good afternoon wishes to each and every one of you, and also let me convey my safety day wishes to all of you. This is really a welcome step towards that safety, and at NLC we are all committed. In the recent past, if you see, a lot of activities are being done and a lot of importance and clear thrust is given to safety because safety is not just a set of activities; it is a state of mind. It is the first and foremost responsibility. We can say that it is the first discipline in any industry, and it is a commitment, it is assurance we are giving to everybody that once you enter into our premises, we ensure your safety. I mean, we ensure that you are not harmed or you are not hurt. So that is assurance. So suddenly it is a state of mind, and we have to really take it to the next level. So it is really a welcome step that yes, we are launching an app to capture and correct the safety issues so that the safety standards are improved. With this, I thank the organizers for giving me this opportunity, and once again my safety day wishes to each and every one of you. Thank you.

Greetings on the 54th National Safety Day. Safety plays a very vital role, and statistics show that nearly 20,000 deaths occur due to accidents in industries every year. So nearly three deaths per day, and in road accidents we have around 1.72 lakhs per year, that comes to around 480 deaths per day. In India, we are at the highest in the world. So everyone has to take care. On this special day, let us rededicate ourselves, our actions, to working in a safe manner. So by my best wishes to the new app and all the best to all of you. Let's have a safe year ahead and follow the pledge we took in the morning throughout the year. Thank you very much.
