Chiesi is a company that wants to make small transformations and revolutions in its sector. It aims to be carbon neutral by 2035 and has made community commitment a strength. The company must understand it is part of a system; each part must contribute to balance. Chiesi Farmaceutici was founded by my grandfather in 1935. Our main areas are chronic respiratory diseases, neonatology, and rare diseases. We have grown through internationalization since the late 1990s, now with €2 billion turnover and 6,000 employees. Our roots are in the vision of Giacomo Chiesi: people at the center, ethics, and sobriety. We made difficult choices: staying in Italy, investing in R&D with our own resources, avoiding debt and stock market. In 2015 we created a CSR department and adopted the B Impact Assessment, leading to B Corp certification in 2019 and becoming a benefit corporation. This means greater transparency and learning from best practices. Our research center, built ten years ago, is energy-efficient and supports well-being. We also initiated a green infrastructure project, 'Km Verde', to separate the city from the highway. For me, 'Italia che Cambia' is about awareness of our potential, culture, and community. Italy has many volunteer associations. We must embrace our cultural identity and serve all people, taking up integral ecology as Pope Francis speaks of.
