Two managements are there. First, Prasanna sir is waiting. The CMD of NLC India, Prasanna Kumar M sir, will appear on your screens. Prasanna sir, good afternoon, welcome to the show. Thank you so much for joining. And what numbers came for NLC India? We mentioned it that morning in 'Sidha Sauda'. Should we call it stellar? There's an English word, right? Q4 performance. 32% jump in income. Highest ever production or generation since the company was established. In a financial year, such production and generation numbers have not been reported. Prasanna sir, first of all, good momentum in the top line. What is the reason behind this? Is it also because in the last 12 months some additional capacities were commissioned and due to that, revenue momentum picked up?
Sir, that was also a reason. In all three verticals - mining, power generation, and renewable power generation - we have added capacity. Like, combining thermal and renewable, we have added almost more than one gigawatt. And mining capacity has also increased. Due to this, and also due to improvement in operational performance and financial discipline, all these factors led to this result.
Okay. The release says in the financial year about 103 megawatts of new capacity, and its breakup is beautifully specified in the release. Not only was revenue momentum strong, margin expansion stood out. Revenue grew 32%. EBITDA doubled, and margins expanded by almost 1200 to 1300 basis points. Prasanna sir, how did this happen? Was it fuel cost optimization, or was it because seasonal demand was peaking and we got the benefit? And everyone will wonder: is this sustainable or at higher levels or not?
Sir, our current financial performance is due to the capacity addition I mentioned, and also due to the energy conservation measures and cost control measures we have been taking. And we have aggressive plans for further capacity addition. So the performance we have seen this year, we have programs for capacity addition in all verticals to continue this performance. So we hope to continue delivering similar financial performance going forward.
Okay, the production at Pachwara South coal mine started, I think this year, two months ago in March 2026. What roadmap are you following, Prasanna sir? When will you achieve 100% fuel self-sufficiency for your thermal plants? And when you do this, to what extent does NLC India become insulated from global coal price volatility?
Sir, this Pachwara South coal block is to supply coal to our Ghatampur thermal power station. Until now, we were taking coal from other sources. But now production has started at Pachwara South coal block. This year we expect to produce more than two million tonnes from this mine. It is good quality coal. And for the three units of Ghatampur thermal power station, our target is to meet 100% of the fuel requirement from this mine. And regarding global coal price volatility, it depends to some extent, but based on the current situation, we are able to sell the coal we produce at the right rate and earn revenue.
Is something like this happening? The macro environment is challenging. Problems with discoms' financial health, issues with tariff adjudication, issues with collection efficiencies. In the marketplace, for your new thermal power plants, is something like this happening? Are you facing any difficulties?
Not at all, sir. In the financial performance we have delivered, collection efficiency was one factor. At one time, there were dues of 13,000-14,000 crore, but now it is only 2,000-1,800 crore, and that too is running dues. Our collection efficiency is running at more than 100%. So we are getting full cooperation from all discoms and timely payments. We do not foresee any kind of problem going forward.
This environment is good, the apex just continues as is. Management is confident. The good Q4 numbers were there. This kind of momentum will sustain going forward. There was one more update regarding NLC India Renewables Limited, i.e., NIRL. The Government of India has approved the listing of your wholly owned subsidiary. There will be fresh equity and partial stake divestment. Prasanna sir, what timeline are you working on? When can I expect? Are you preparing to hit the markets?
Sir, as you know, we need a capex of 125,000 crore. For that, we are trying to generate internal resources. We expect the IPO to come in September. All activities are progressing very fast. We have received approval from the government for share transfer, and from January 1st, complete assets have been transferred to NIRL. All other necessary activities are moving fast. We expect to come with the IPO by September.
