About Dr. Rödl
In a 2024 video, Christian Rödl recounted his earliest memory of the firm, dating to the 1970s, when his father, then an employee of another firm, began advising his own clients from their home in Nuremberg. Rödl described this as the foundation of a company that now employs nearly 6,000 people worldwide. He noted that while the core services of legal, tax, and audit advice remain, the firm has added more facets and specialization, and has grown alongside its clients' internationalization. Rödl expressed pride in the workforce and stated that leading the company is a daily task he enjoys. In a 2014 interview, Rödl described Rödl & Partner as a diverse company with a broad range of consulting services, organized across multiple levels including local offices and country services. He emphasized the need for consultants, auditors, and other professionals to fill various positions within the firm's structure.

It's not so important to collect and focus and concentrate now, but today is really a day that I will enjoy very much. But I'm especially happy when the decision-makers of our major clients come, or other important companies that inform themselves here. For me, I think it's the first time that I'm doing the opening.
I warmly welcome you to our 25th Forum Global. This idea of a forum has developed over the last 25 years into one of the largest foreign trade events in Germany. I'm already looking forward to the personal exchange with you. Now let's try a quick selfie of all of us, yes.
Yes, there is a lot going on here today in our house. We already had great lectures and panel discussions. For me, these days are also very important because I constantly have appointments with clients and colleagues. There are also some forecasts, some of which will come true, others maybe not. But we also want to encourage our clients to think, to step out of everyday business on such a day.

I've been involved since 2008. I have participated in every Forum Global. Today is the 15th time, I think. 25 times? Next time the Forum Global is for me personally also a long time, but 25 times shows how well, with all modesty, Rödl & Partner has developed over the last decades. In the first years it was a very small, almost only internal event, and now we have a large foreign trade event here with current topics. We can build on that for the future, I think.
Yes, I must give a big compliment to our organizers who have again managed to put together a program with varied lectures, exciting topics, and also the opportunity to relax nicely between the lectures.

Absolutely, I was able to take a lot away because you can not only dive into topics thematically, but also treat yourself to half an hour to listen to a specific topic. Even if it's a topic where you say, wow, that's quite deep, but you get a feel for what's happening there and get a great overview. And in the individual panels you can really inform yourself superbly, reorient yourself. I find this variety of topics simply exciting. And then also the opportunity to meet both Rödl colleagues and colleagues from other companies, to have a chance to discuss things with other CFOs from other companies and to ask how they are approaching certain topics. Yes, and also this solidarity or networking is the great advantage of the event: that the world is represented here, and we can ideally discuss all topics at the table. That is always much more helpful than always somehow via Teams and other devices. It's simply this mixture, actually perfect. I'll come again.
The formal part of the Forum Global is now over. I think we had really highly interesting great lectures and panel discussions throughout the day by our colleagues from all over the world. I'm glad you were all there, and I look forward to seeing you all again next year.
