About Tatiana Rizzante
Tatiana Rizzante, Chief Executive Officer of Reply, has discussed the company's organizational model and approach to innovation in interviews. In a 2021 interview, she stated that Reply's biggest advantages include its ability to keep up with innovation, its "networked enterprise" organizational model, and its diversity. She said that to manage an industry, one must understand the job and learn how things are done, adding that she believes an entrepreneur must learn a job, not just how to invest money. In a 2022 interview, she noted that Reply is part of the Euronext Tech Leaders index and that the company is focused on areas including artificial intelligence and the automotive industry.
In earlier appearances, Rizzante discussed the company's investments in the "Internet of Things" and an incubator for startups. In a 2014 interview, she said that the "Internet of Things" would create "infinite niches of specialization" and that Reply had invested in a platform to build different vertical applications. She also stated that while Italy has "peaks of excellence" in technology, the country is behind in overall ICT spending and exports of high technology. In a 2010 interview, she described the market as complex but noted that some segments were growing by 20-30% per year, and that the key was for a company to identify the right areas to invest in.

On the special TOSM, once again greetings from TOSM at Media Plaza. Important guests come one after another to talk about innovation, digital innovation. In this case, we have the CEO of Reply, Tatiana Rizzante. Good morning, thank you for being with us. So, let's talk about innovation. We are inside an important fair. Earlier we heard the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Turin, Barberis, who cares a lot about this fair, which is a locally important fair, because, I must say, with many resources this year it has managed to open up even to the whole of Italy and also abroad. So the impression is that it can grow and become a true showcase for comparison between new technologies and innovation. You, regarding innovation, I mean, you are very, very well positioned. Yes.

They did a great job, I must say, this year at TOSM, very very nice, very well organized, and certainly a growing fair. Yes, we tried to bring some of the new things we are doing. So, all the world of the platform.
I

The platform. Compliments for the stand.
T
Tatiana Rizzante1:14
Oh, thank you. All the world of the platform for the Internet of Things. Then some software as a service of the group, in particular the Warehouse Management part, social networking, which by the way is what is used here at TOSM, the Community part, and the management part with our reference partner Microsoft. This is very important. Earlier we also heard the CEO of Microsoft saying how important a fair like TOSM is, which he said is located in Piedmont, Turin, but has a vision thanks to 150-160 exhibitors and companies, and therefore to gather and coordinate all the new developments in the sector. Yes.

Yes. Moreover, the territory is representative in many respects because the work done in recent years to revive the segment, both with projects like Torino Wireless and with the entire infomobility component, with the commitment of the authorities and the Polytechnic, has been absolutely outstanding work. And today it is a reference point in the Italian territory. What is the response you expect, let's say, from the market in this very hectic and difficult time, also difficult to plan and schedule?
T
Tatiana Rizzante2:45
Well, immediate answers in my opinion no longer exist, so this is an absolutely difficult question. Certainly the market is complex, but in my view at very different speeds. Because it is true that there are segments that decrease by say 8-10-3%, let's take the numbers, but there are also segments that grow by 20-30% per year. So the issue is not just, oh, there's a crisis, depression, and so on, but it's understanding for one's own company what are the right areas to invest in, and above all remembering that there are times like this of strong transformation with sectors with enormous opportunities. This is the bet of this territory.

Here, in closing, a question about your products. I haven't been able to, how to say, go into all of them, but the Internet of Things, what is it?
T
Tatiana Rizzante3:47
What is the Internet of Things? It is in our opinion, how to say, an important part of the future and of our future work, because we believe that computing and communication, therefore connectivity, moves from consumer devices like PCs and cell phones to all things, materials, sensors, specialized equipment such as those for medicine, infomobility, and so on. So this opens up infinite niches of specialization. We have chosen to first invest in a basic platform, which is a mesh platform, that allows us to then build the various verticalizations. And I am convinced that in the coming years this is one of those segments of very high development, not trivial, but that offers great opportunities.

Certainly within TOSM you will often hear about future and challenges. Speaking of challenges, Tatiana Rizzante will be at the round table organized by Feder Manager in the Red Room tonight, and there we will talk about challenges for the future, especially related to managers.
