Europe has stopped a bit because we talk too much. 12,000 laws since von der Leyen became president are absurd, they are a constraint on the system for all businesses. You can't continue to have fierce regulation for Italian companies when the Americans don't have it, the Chinese don't have it, all of Asia doesn't even know what it is. Unfortunately, through demagoguery, ideologies, etc., we are slowing down the development of Italian companies and it will be impossible to reach any system similar to the American, Asian, etc.

Hello everyone, we are here with Dr. Tamburi, founder and CEO of Tamburi Investment Partners, one of the largest, in fact the largest Italian investor, the Italian Warren Buffett, perhaps you could define it. And today we are here at an event organized by Banca Patrimoni Sella and we are going to ask him questions about young people, about investments, and also about Italy. The first question is about young people. We are a bit of a fast food generation, a generation that tends to seek easy ways to make money, easy ways to obtain frivolous pleasure and doesn't have the ability to make the same sacrifices of the past. What advice do you give to young people? I heard you once say in a podcast that young people should have more patience. What is your advice for young people?
Giovanni Tamburi 1:20 ↗
Well, first of all, you have the ability because you are smart, awake, informed, etc. Unfortunately, you often limit yourselves to reading headlines, thinking you've understood everything when you read the strong message that the media gives, despite the newspapers, because then you do read the newspapers, but other types of media. The real advice is to dig deeper, to study, to do things in a serious, thoughtful, carefully evaluated way, also because many of you, despite having the abilities, waste them wanting to make easy money, wanting to do fast things, as if a snap of the fingers would create a startup, earn too much with Bitcoin, etc. I believe that today is a very interesting moment to do things well. First, to do them and not settle. Second, to do them well, and how to do it? By studying, digging deeper, analyzing all the various topics. Whatever interests you most, you have to go deep into it.
Francesco 2:17 ↗
Thank you very much for the advice. It seems like superficial advice, but in reality it's what most people don't do, so it's important, in my opinion, to listen to this advice too. And another question that comes to mind is that today, from 2000 to now, there has been a real gap between the growth of Europe and that of America. European GDP has remained almost stagnant, while American GDP has exploded, but it exploded thanks to a few sectors that have driven the whole market. My question is: what, in your opinion, is the problem of Europe at this moment, if it's a problem of competitiveness, fiscal inefficiency, labor costs, etc., to understand how to close the gap, given that you are an expert investor in Italian issues.
