About Ola Doudin

Ola Doudin, co-founder and CEO of BitOasis, has stated that the company was acquired by the Indian cryptocurrency platform CoinDCX in 2024, describing it as the first M&A crypto deal out of the region. She said that BitOasis maintains its brand and local focus after the acquisition, and that the deal allows the company to tap into larger pools of capital and leverage CoinDCX's technology while retaining autonomy. Doudin has described BitOasis as the first and largest digital asset exchange in the Middle East, serving retail and institutional clients in the GCC region, and noted that the company holds licenses from the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) in Dubai and the Central Bank of Bahrain. Doudin has commented on the regulatory environment in the UAE, stating that Dubai is becoming a global crypto hub and that the region benefits from regulatory clarity. She has said that further adoption requires buy-in from central banks and more public awareness campaigns. Doudin has also discussed the role of stablecoins, stating that they account for over 50-60% of transactional volume in emerging markets like Nigeria, and has expressed the view that every asset will eventually be traded on a blockchain. She has described the crypto market as a "survivors game" during past crashes and emphasized the importance of understanding the real opportunity despite market noise.

Hi, my name is Ola Doudin. I'm co-founder and CEO of BitOasis. BitOasis is the first and today the largest crypto platform based here in the UAE. We serve the wider Middle East market, specifically focused on the GCC region. We serve both retail and corporate institutional clients, so we're the go-to platform for anyone that wants to invest, trade, hold crypto, and enter the Web3 world here in the Middle East market. We offer the easiest, safest, and regulated way for people to buy, sell, and trade crypto. We got our licenses from VARA, and we also have licenses and regulated operations out of Bahrain under the Central Bank of Bahrain. With that, we cover the wider Gulf region and are able to serve our customers across different segments in the market. Most notably, this year we got acquired by CoinDCX, the most valued and largest platform out of India. We've got great synergies with the acquisition, and now BitOasis is part of the wider DCX group. That was a big achievement for us; it's the first M&A crypto deal out of the region. We were the first in the space, we really started the adoption of crypto and built that infrastructure and safe foundation for people to start their crypto journeys, and that's still one of our missions that we continue to execute day in and day out. Dubai is specifically becoming more of a global crypto hub, but across the region I think we want to see more momentum with regulation moving in similar steps to how the UAE is positioning itself in the Web3 space. The acquisition for me as a founder was part of that journey in terms of executing our mission from day one and being able to do even more in the region as the market is really expanding. BitOasis as a brand remains a strong local regional brand; it really represents our ethos and mission in making sure that crypto is available for individuals, for corporates, for our community, and our ecosystem at large. When we started, it was very clear for us the place to be is Dubai if you want to innovate, if you want to be at the forefront of regulation, and also attract the right talent and the right capital. So for us, it was the place to be. If you're a founder, you believe in your idea, you believe that the space you're building your company in—whether focused on tech or a market segment or whatever it may be—is the future and where growth would be, then by all means go for it. The right talent will come, the right capital is there to invest in you. Focus on making sure you can execute, you can grow, and really double down on what you believe in, double down on yourself, and double down on the idea that you're going after or building your business after. Specifically when it comes to women founders, definitely believe in yourself, advocate for yourself, take risks, be fearless in how you execute on your vision and how you advocate for it. The right people will come along. Really believe in yourself and go that distance, and being able to go full force and execute on what you want to see come alive is very, very important. Believe in yourself, believe in your vision, advocate for yourself, and set an example for other female founders or women founders that want to follow your footsteps.
