0:29Why is the stock down given the fact that every one of those except for software is basically supercycle?
3:40So I want to talk about what I think are three supercycles at once. Right?
6:13Can you explain both the math there as to why that seems so conservative?
Cisco posting record quarterly results and strong guidance. The stock is under pressure this morning as people are questioning how strong that guidance is. Joining us now exclusively here at Post 9, Cisco Chair and CEO Chuck Robbins. Chuck, thank you for coming on the show. It's great to see you.
All right. So Chuck, I look at the actual situation of your different line items and I see AI networking, exploding, data center switching, exploding. I'm going to say campus strong, refresh, wireless strong. These are all areas we always talk about with you. Routing strong, security mixed, software modest. Why is the stock down given the fact that every one of those except for software is basically supercycle?
Look, Jim, it's great to be with you as always. Thanks for having me on. And look, I'm not going to comment on what's going on with the stock. We'll see how things play out over the next few weeks, which is when it matters. But I think look, I'm proud of the team. We had a record year. We had a record quarter. The analysts were looking for 9% growth. It was kind of funny to me that they were looking for 9% growth. We gave them 15 and they said, why are you being so conservative? So I think look, at this time of the year, we're starting a new fiscal year. We all know we're operating in incredible markets that are fantastic. You were just going through all the numbers. But it's also a time to, we're going to start the year being a little bit prudent. We see what we believe is going to be the case for the year. But there's a lot that we got to get done. But I'm super proud of the team. And if you think about all the areas of our business, you just went through them. They all have tailwinds right now and we're super optimistic and pleased with where we are.
Yeah, I think it's important for people to recognize that it was not in any of the analyst notes that you've got something called Silicon One, which, by the way, I know you personally developed. There was an acquisition you made, but you're talking about ten years in the making. And Silicon One, I think, is the secret to a lot of what you're doing, particularly in the data center. Maybe you can explain to people how you created this product and how, unlike everybody else who's like short memory and short the right chips, you actually have a surplus and you can do whatever you want.
