About Beenu Arora

Beenu Arora, co-founder and CEO of Cyble, has been speaking about the company's use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. At GISEC GLOBAL 2025, he described Cyble's approach to AI as a "co-pilot" that provides context to analysts, such as histories of IP addresses and malware communication. He stated that Cyble sandboxes AI use cases to prevent abuses like prompt injections and AI-generated malware, and that the company has rearchitected its platform around AI to contextualize data for customers. Arora also discussed the risks of AI being abused in cyber attacks, including phishing and scam calls. Arora has commented on the cybersecurity needs of startups, advising that security should be treated as a "hygiene factor" rather than a competitive advantage. He noted that Cyble detects more than 10 million compromised cards weekly and described the company as "de facto one of the largest compromised financial data collectors on the planet." Regarding the acquisition of Recorded Future by Mastercard, Arora described it as a historic deal and said threat intelligence is becoming part of business strategy beyond security operations. He also stated that Cyble's partnership with Digit AG is driven by a shared commitment to innovation and that the company plans to expose its AI capabilities to customers.

Hello everyone and welcome to CXO Insights. I am joined by Beenu Arora, the CEO of Cyble. Welcome, Beenu. Thanks for having me today. Really appreciate it. Great to have you with us. So if you can just kick off with what is Cyble highlighting at GISEC this year and what do you aim to achieve at the show?
B
Beenu Arora0:21
I mean, GISEC is the region's biggest security conference and Cyble has a great presence in the Middle East market. We see GISEC as a great opportunity to articulate our story to our customers, to our partners, as well as to some of our investors here. And over the years, we see this as an amazing platform for active collaboration, connecting with the CISO community, more importantly connecting even with the government officials. And I think it's an amazing platform where you get so many meetings, so many catchups, so many friendships. We see this as a community building platform. I'm one of the founders in this company and my vested interest is to make sure Cyble can be a great partner to the community here and then being able to address some of the biggest challenges which the industry is currently facing. And super excited about this whole platform and I hope that we continue to support it, invest in it, and forge some new friendships as we go along in this journey together.

Great. So with the theme of GISEC this year being 'Securing an AI-Driven Future', how important is AI in enabling cyber resilience across industries and in enabling a digitally resilient future for the Middle East?
B
Beenu Arora1:40
Yeah, I think what we are experiencing is that there's a ton of cyber attacks which are using AI to make their attempts more successful. So we see phishing attacks happening. We see fake scam calls where people are mimicking as real humans. They literally are copying the voice of real people and then making them do all the nefarious transactions. So AI is basically already being abused. And I think as an industry, the foundational models which have been out there, be it through OpenAI, Claude, and there's Llama, Facebook came with Llama 4 recently. This is great. Platform companies like Cyble have actually reoriented or rearchitected the whole platform around AI. So we are an AI-native company. How we use AI is making sure when we are collecting data at scale, and we are a petabyte-scale company at the end of the day, it's a lot of data which comes through and many times it's out of context. And it's a lot of hard work you have to do to figure out which signal is relevant for the customer at the end of the day because there's too much noise, especially in the platforms you know companies like Cyble operate in. So we use AI to contextualize everything we are collecting from the internet and from the customer environment to ensure that they have the right information at the right time and they can act on it quickly. So we see AI as a humongous tool to drive more efficiencies, improve our efficacy when it comes to dealing with customer problems. And we are deeply excited about this whole AI generation or AI revolution era which we're living in. And I think in the coming months, it's just going to become a lot more exciting as we see the price of the chips going downwards and the customers have more ability to use more AI or more platforms as part of the overall chain on how the data is being collected and the information disseminated. So the future is great.

Thank you so much for sharing that. And from Cyble's perspective, how are you enabling responsible development and ethical adoption of AI?
B
Beenu Arora4:02
Yeah, it's a trick question. I mean, largely when it comes to the ethics or responsible use, we ensure we have our own RAG models. We use some of the open-source AI models like Llama 4 for example, which we use internally, and we invest a lot of resources in training those models. Now when it comes to the responsible usage, we are very specific about the use cases we are trying to solve for our customers, like for example generating a lot more insights. So I'll give you a classic example. You see a log in a firewall which says 'Oh, I blocked this traffic to this IP address.' That means nothing to a real human being. Just saying you're blocking something. But what RAG is helping us, it actually gives a pretty good history that we saw this particular IP communicating on X, Y, and Z spaces and this is the kind of malware it's communicating to. It gives a lot more context to the analysts. So what we see is AI is becoming like an assistant or a co-pilot if you will, and that is helping the analyst to do their job much better. Now we literally sandbox those use cases because we know for the fact if we're going to let it just do what it does and we don't expose that whole interface to the public at this point in time because we're seeing that prompt injections and a lot of these attacks are happening. People are actually using the AI models to generate new malware samples. We've seen that already. There are a number of marketplaces where you can get a malware sample generated by DeepSeek R1, which is a jailbroken implementation already out there, and people are actively abusing it. So the way we do it, our AI implementation works on a very set of rules which is around the customer context and then ensuring that we can improve the efficiency and efficacy for the analysts. I think in the future, which is where Cyble is going towards, is we really want to convert this whole co-pilot thing to a full-fledged CTI where the assistant can basically create real-time dynamic code generation and then the APIs can integrate seamlessly in the back end without involving an engineer at all. So these are some of the pilots which we are running internally. Are we ready yet to put it out to the public? The answer is no. Do we have pilots who demonstrated? The answer is yes. So think of it like when you are looking at a 3D model of an AI-generated image which is live and you just tell them, 'Hey, can you just find out all the alerts in the last 24 hours and just do me a favor, send that WhatsApp on a daily basis?' That workflow may not exist in the product now, but using the AI you can actually stitch all these APIs together to create new workflows. I think that's where we see the future is, where you don't have to constrain the product functionality based upon what you have designed or coded. I think the AI itself can build a lot more workflows and make the whole product a lot more useful for the analysts in the future. And that's the area which I think is going to be super exciting and super risky. Because now you are giving them the freedom to write the code. You are giving them freedom to actually integrate with your backend systems. That's where the real challenge is going to be. I don't think in the industry yet in the cybersecurity space people have made an attempt. I think Cyble is definitely going to be one of those since we are already doing it internally. I think by the time we expose that to the customer, they'll definitely be loving it and the sky is the limit. I mean, depends on how far you want to take it.

Thank you so much for sharing that very expansive view of what's to come ahead when it comes to AI and cybersecurity. Now moving on to your partnership with Digital AG, can you just give us some insights as to what was the driver behind the partnership and how do they align with Cyble's goals here in the region?
B
Beenu Arora8:02
Yeah, I mean Digital has been an amazing partner for Cyble and collectively as a platform, we go out to the CISO community as well as obviously the broader buyers community to showcase our products and services. Digital AG and Cyble have deep integration between the leadership team. I mean literally at the chief executive level, there's pretty deep integration over there. And it's not that you just get into a partnership. They tested the platform across a number of organizations not just in the Middle East but also in other markets and the feedback has consistently been phenomenal. And now, I literally met the entire leadership team this morning and they are deeply excited about the opportunities which Cyble brings to the table. And in fact, they are pretty keen to take this to the other markets as well beyond the Middle East. So what they love about Cyble is the pace of innovation. Like I was explaining to you on how Cyble thinks about the AI, we are not talking about just Mickey Mouse generative stuff. I mean this is about how you change the entire way the platform works in the back end, which obviously introduces new opportunities and risks which I was alluding to. I think those are the areas which Digital AG as a company loves about Cyble. It's not just having another me-too product which they're trying to push up. It's the pace of how we are innovating this whole platform and to your point, pushing the entire industry towards it. And I think this partnership is an amazing platform and I would welcome the CISO community to go and have a look over it. Cyble is definitely one of the major components in what they are offering in the market, but also there are other service elements which they are bringing to the table and some other tools and platforms as well. So please go and check it out.
