edition of the Gujarati recipe to make it work and create wealth for everyone.
We now move to the next one. May I now invite Shri Ashok Kumar Gi, Chief Postmaster General of West Bengal.
This is our 100 years. So we will now release the centenary stamp and we'll request our chief guest to please release along with Shar Kumar.
Can you please bring... Yeah. I'll request president to kindly felicitate Mr. Shokumar please.
100 years of ICC. So this is to commemorate the centenary of Indian Chamber of Commerce. It's a tribute to all our presidents to everybody who has made this institution great and worthy to support the Indian industry.
Okay, thank you. Thank you so much. What of thanks? Okay, so on our agenda, we have two more items. I'll now request Mr. Nyia to please propose a vote of thanks.
Shri Gautam Madani G, the leadership of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, past presidents, members, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, a very very warm evening to all of you. Today it's been a truly remarkable evening in the history of Indian Chamber of Commerce. We've had one of the most historic and memorable AGMs. We've had the privilege of having Shri Gautam Madani G address us today. First of all, Mr. Gautam Madani, thank you. Thank you so much for coming to Kolkata and to ICC.
Amongst the many ports and airports that you have, we are privileged and honored that you finally landed in Kolkata. We've been looking forward to welcoming you for a while and I'm very glad that we got this opportunity for a chamber that has represented Indian enterprise for more than a century. It is particularly meaningful to welcome an entrepreneur whose journey has become an extraordinary chapter in the story of modern Indian enterprise.
Mr. Gautam Madani, in many ways, you know, we can describe what you've built, we can talk about scale, we can talk about industries, we can talk about companies, we can talk about the sheer size and magnitude of the organization, but I believe numbers alone don't tell the full story because the most inspiring enterprises are not the ones that are only the most successful but they are the ones that are the most meaningful. In many ways, as India grew, you built what India needed. Next, as a young entrepreneur myself, there's something about your journey that I find deeply inspiring. It is the audacity to think at scale.
Every entrepreneur has ambitions, but there's a difference between an ambition that asks how big my business can become versus an ambition that asks how big a difference my business can make. Very few entrepreneurs have the courage to build business that eventually become part of the infrastructure of a nation. And I think that is an important lesson for my generation. Our aspirations cannot only be about creating wealth. It must be about creating value. They cannot be only about building companies. It must be about building capabilities. And our ultimate measure of success cannot be what can we take from India's growth story. But what can we contribute to it?
Mr. Gautam Madani, your organization speaks about growth with goodness. And I think those three words are very important and India needs both. India needs growth because there are billion aspirations that need a future. India needs goodness because the true purpose of an enterprise ultimately extends beyond the enterprise itself. It must create employment, opportunity, create infrastructure and strengthen communities and overall build the nation. Ladies and gentlemen, India today stands at an extraordinary moment in its history. There are moments in the journey of a nation where circumstances, demographics, ambition and opportunity come together. I believe this is India's moment. You have demonstrated as an entrepreneur from India that can think at a global scale yet remain deeply invested in India's future. And for that, Mr. Gautam Madani, on behalf of ICC, I thank you very much. Thank you for inspiring us. Thank you for building our future. A big round of applause for Mr. Gautam Madani.
And he does this with a smile, a nishin smile, stress-free. And you know that's the most beautiful thing about him. And you know maybe the reason behind his success and his smile. I would like to welcome and thank you Mr. Priti Adani for being here and Mr. Karnadani for being here. I think the commitment the family has shown to Kolkata is truly inspiring and it really assures us of what is for the future of Bengal. I would also like to take a moment to thank someone special. I would like to thank our president Mr. Bridgebusha Nagarval. Thank you so much. A big round of applause.
Leadership of an institution such as the ICC comes with great privilege and also considerable responsibility. And having watched him over the past year, I've learned a great deal from him. Although I must confess he seems very happy passing on the responsibility to do me. So while I take on the responsibility, I will definitely remember all the important guides that you've given me and looking forward to your support in the coming years. ICC has a history of 100 years and you know it gives me a lot of pride standing here today. There have been more than 100 past presidents that have stood in this exact spot addressing the ICC leadership, addressing the nation and helping build the country and building the country to what it is today. Institutions like Indian Chamber of Commerce exist to celebrate enterprise, encourage entrepreneurship and contribute to India's economic progress and perhaps there could be no fitting way to mark the AGM than hearing from someone who has ultimately built our nation. Thank you so much for coming again Mr. Gautam Madani. A big round of applause for him. Thank you so much.
Thank you Jind.
