Trump Meets Tech Titans! Musk, Zuckerberg, Pichai, Amodei, Huang At White House For Major AI Talks

Well, thank you very much. We had a very, very good meeting, very productive, extremely friendly, and the one thing that we all have in common is we love our country, and we love the world, and we want to make sure it's a safe place. And what we're talking about today will make it a better place and a much safer place. So, I just want to thank — these are the greatest, the most brilliant people probably in the world. I met many of them, we were meeting last week with President Xi and myself, and he acknowledged these are the most brilliant people. The people behind me and the people sitting with me. These are the most brilliant people in the world and the job they've done is unbelievable. We have a very big lead and we're going to keep our lead and it's a very positive thing. It's an amazing industry. There are those that say it's bigger than the industrial revolution. Now, I don't know if that's so, but everyone seems to think it is and it could be substantially bigger and we're leading and we're going to keep it that way. So, I just wanted to thank everybody, recognize I would say almost every one of the people sitting and standing behind me. I just think it's an honor to be involved with this group of very, very brilliant people and I thank you very much. Thank you.

Mr. President, do you expect there to be any fight in the world on super intelligence after today's meeting?

Well, we're doing one thing. We're going to be signing a document today at about 5:00, renaming artificial intelligence because it's not artificial. We all agree on that. And we're going to be renaming it super intelligence, officially renaming it. And that'll come out at 5:00 today. But there was a lot of commonality in this room. It was pretty amazing and all for the good. Really amazing.

Is it the belief of everybody that you're meeting with today that no guardrails, no regulation of AI, super intelligence as you call it, is necessary?

Well, there's a belief that there should be tremendous self-regulation and we automatically have regulation with the Department of Justice, the FBI, all of that. But the self-regulation's very important. There's something else that was discussed and that's local communities. This is a group that loves local communities. They love our country and they're going to work with local communities for the data centers in particular and they're going to work to make the community happy. You're going to see data centers are going to be very popular because this is the group and they're the ones that want to, and they're also the ones that want to see communities that are safe and happy and they're going to make communities very, very happy. Otherwise, they'll be forced to go overseas or other locations. But even in America, there are so many people that want data centers. You know, the areas with data centers have become very rich. People have become very rich. Taxes have gone down, not up, and a lot of good things have happened. But these people and others having to do with the data centers that you've been reading so much about, I think they're going to do things for the community that will be really financially beneficial and otherwise beneficial.

You're talking about plans to go public while it raises safety concerns, and did the IPO come up during your dinner?

We're going to be putting out a statement in a little while summing up some of the things that we did. But there's a great, there's an unbelievable feeling in this room. Sort of a feeling of love for our country and they want to do the right things. These are people that love our country. I can tell you that. Thank you very much everybody. Thank you.
