“The value proposition is very simple. It's all about cash. West Gold's cash flow for the last quarter was strong. 132 million was a record treasury build. The company is unhedged. We've got assets of significant growth. We now have long life mines in both the Merchesen and the Southern Goldfields which I will talk to and the program ahead really is about grade factoring into higher mine outputs an”

About Wayne Bramwell

Wayne Bramwell, Managing Director and CEO of Westgold Resources, has been presenting the company's financial and operational results across investor webcasts, conferences, and media interviews. In FY26, he reported record gold production of 387,000 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost of $2,841 per ounce, which he said grew the company's treasury from $575 million to $939 million in cash, bullion, and liquid investments. He also discussed the company's first share buyback program, initiated during FY26, alongside dividends as mechanisms for returning capital to shareholders. Bramwell described Westgold as an unhedged, debt-free ASX 100 mid-tier gold producer operating seven underground mines and four processing plants in Western Australia, and outlined a three-year outlook targeting 470,000 ounces of annual production by FY28 with falling costs. Bramwell has also spoken about portfolio simplification and growth initiatives. He discussed the planned divestment of non-core assets and the demerger of the REEdy and Comet assets into a new ASX-listed company called Valiant Gold, with Westgold retaining a 44-48% cornerstone equity position. He highlighted expansion projects including the Higginsville processing plant and the Bluebird South Junction underground mine, and noted the company's focus on converting resources to reserves through drilling. In interviews, he commented on gold market conditions, stating he saw no slowdown in central bank buying and described the current Australian gold price as maintainable in the short term. He also discussed industry challenges such as labor shortages and energy costs, noting Westgold's shift from diesel to gas and solar power at its processing plants.
