We spoke to Weebit Nano CEO, Coby Hanoch, about the amazing year that FY26 has been. Revenues ended up at A$15.3m where initial guidance called for A$10m. The company has also made continuous progress with its IDM, foundry and product company customers, and we expect initial royalty revenues to start in 2027. All in all, the future looks very bright for Weebit Nano with very a strong balance sheet, clear commercial momentum and an adoption environment for ReRAM which has never been stronger.

Coby Hanoch, CEO of Weebit Nano, discussed FY26 results, highlighting the Texas Instruments deal, progress with onsemi, DB Hi-Tek qualification, and an American customer's in-memory compute results. Revenue reached $15.3 million, exceeding raised guidance. He explained that revenue recognition is complex due to first deals and auditors. R&D expenses grew due to no French tax rebate for FY26 and team expansion. H1 FY27 guidance is $7.1 million, reflecting a 30% year-over-year growth, but deal closures are stalled due to overwhelming fab demand. He described the IP model, where after qualification, customers use off-the-shelf modules, leading to minimal interaction and high margins. He expects market conditions to improve, bringing more deals.

Key takeaways

  1. FY26 revenue hit $15.3 million, above raised guidance of $13.5 million and initial $10 million.
  2. H1 FY27 guidance of $7.1 million still represents over 30% year-over-year growth.
  3. Texas Instruments deal closed in FY26; onsemi has working wafers moving toward qualification.
  4. Fab demand is so high that deal closures are delayed, but all fabs still plan to use ReRAM.
  5. Weebit's IP model aims for off-the-shelf modules with minimal customer interaction and near-100% margins.

Questions asked in this interview

  1. 0:17If you look back at the last financial year, what are the standout achievements for Weebit in your opinion?
  2. 1:55So, how did that work from the initial guidance to where you ended up with 15.3 million?
  3. 3:53But can you talk about that and also how we need to look forward, you know, to current financial year, next financial year in terms of modeling that?
  4. 6:25Talk us through how that sort of, you know, what that is made up of because, yes, the critics could say, 'Well, 7.1 is less than half of, you know, 15.3.' But as we've seen last year, there's much more to that, right?
  5. 8:46... each and every product that you have with an existing customer or is it more of an overarching sort of qualification for a product group and you don't have to do that each and every time that you basically want to launch a new product?

Hello and welcome to Stocks and Honors. We're joined by Coby Hanoch, CEO of Weebit Nano. Hello, Coby.
Coby Hanoch 0:16 ↗
Hi, Mark.
Mark 0:17 ↗
You just published your annual report for FY26. If you look back at the last financial year, what are the standout achievements for Weebit in your opinion?
Coby Hanoch 0:29 ↗
Well, I think, you know, it was quite a year for us. Obviously, the big highlight was closing the deal with Texas Instruments. That's, you know, a key player in the industry and we're very proud of it. But we also made very good progress with onsemi. We already have working wafers there and then really moving towards the qualification. We also finished the technical qual with DB Hi-Tek. And we're working with customers. There are actual customers now that are manufacturing at DB Hi-Tek that already have silicon in their hands. They're testing. So, moving forward towards eventually that great goal of mass production and there's good progress on that front. We have now initial results of a customer, an American customer, that looked at using our RRAM for in-memory compute and showing that we dramatically lower power consumption there. So, there were a lot of milestones over the past fiscal year. Very exciting times. And of course, the bottom line is the revenue, which ended up being 15.3 million, which I think was higher than we expected. So, that was a good surprise.
Mark 1:55 ↗
Yeah, that's always good, right? So, I actually had a question about that. So, you started off the year with a guidance of 10 million in revenues for FY26, then you increased it to 13.5, and you ended up 15.3, which is a very nice progression. So, how did that work from the initial guidance to where you ended up with 15.3 million?
Coby Hanoch 2:17 ↗
So, you know, Weebit is actually not at the stage where it really should be issuing guidance. Let's start off from the basics that we're still young. We're doing, you know, very few deals in a year and each deal has major impact. So, normally we wouldn't be issuing guidance. Our revenue is going to be jumpy a little bit in that sense because every deal really impacts it. When we issued the 10 million, it was before we signed TI. We didn't really know yet what the parameters of that deal would be, etc. You know, after we signed that deal and we saw what's happening, we raised guidance. Moving forward, we had additional expansions of the deals with key customers and that added to it. So, there were several things that made us, you know, issue updated guidance. There's also an issue of just working with auditors. These are first deals. Auditors are still trying to define how they recognize revenues. I talked about it in the past that we actually recognize the revenue over the length of the project, but still there are many aspects to that and, you know, they decided to recognize revenue in a certain way which actually again increased the revenue that we were announcing now. So, but I think the bottom line is we're very happy. It's a very nice growth from last year and very exciting.
