Mr. Clerk, read the resolution. Joint Session Resolution Number Two. Be it resolved that a committee of 11 be appointed, six from the House by the Speaker of the House and five from the Senate by the President of the Senate, to wait upon Governor JB Pritzker and invite him to address the joint assembly.
Representative Gable has moved for the adoption of the resolution. All those in favor signify by saying aye. All those opposed say nay. And in the opinion of the chair, the ayes have it and the resolution is adopted. Pursuant to the resolution, the following are appointed as a committee to escort the governor. And when I call their name, I would ask that they come to the center. The appointments from the House are Representative Andrade, Representative Buckner, Representative Jimenez, Representative Ortiz, Representative Grant, Representative Swanson.
The appointments from the Senate are Senator Aino, Senator Johnson, Senator Ventura, Senator Erica Harris, and Senator Hills.
