Around the world, countries have realized that semiconductors are vital for economic and national security. How chips are made is as important as the chips themselves. Next, we've driven by artificial intelligence, IoT, and green energy transformation, records a new generation of chips. The industry roadmap calls for a big improvement in performance, power, area, cost, and most importantly, time to market.
It's truly time for collaborative partnership and the new ways of working together. We need to innovate the way we innovate. Applied Materials has been operating in India for more than 20 years. During that time, we have built an extensive set of science and engineering capabilities. We intend to build on the strong foundation with our new collaborative engineering center, where we will bring together our strong base of engineering talent, our leading global and domestic suppliers, and top Indian universities in one location, with a common goal of accelerating the commercialization of new technology.
