Now, let me ask you, you are in the financial sector. How is Wall Street viewing Mexico at this point? Is it an issue? Is it exciting? How do you see your southern neighbor?
So, I think from my perspective, this is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. It has amazing resources, you know, one of the highest ratios of coast to country. It's for my wife's 49th birthday, we took, I don't know, 100 friends to Mexico.
Okay. And this former estate of... I guess Goldsmith, I think. Yes. And it was just an amazing time. So, you know, beautiful country and a long-term friend of the United States and, you know, a good partner.
You know, I think China, unfortunately, over the last, you know, couple of decades has gone from being, you know, more of a friend to the United States to a perceived threat. You know, and I think the president was one of the first to really focus on, in his first term, you know, IP theft and, you know, some unfortunate bad acts of China that's led to a bit of a cold relationship. And of course, you know, China has been saber rattling around Taiwan and, you know, TSMC is still critically important in producing semiconductors for absolutely military, for basically every household device. And so that, you know, is not a comfortable position for that very important part of our US infrastructure to be based in, you know, dependency on Taiwan at a time where China is making threats.
That's the big issue. No, I don't know if that's the big issue. No, like to see this, you know, the trap, the Thucydides trap, that, you know, when there is an emerging power... No.
Look, you know, hopefully humanity kind of comes together. We have lots of important battles to fight as human beings. You know, health care, you know, poverty still around the world. Climate change, you know, climate change, I think there are risks that we collectively need to... and now AI. AI may be one of them. Look, if AI becomes what brings people together is if there's an external threat, if AI becomes an external threat to all of us, maybe it brings humanity back together.
