In a 2013 interview, Howard Chang discussed the TRINOVA-1 trial, which he described as part of a series of studies Amgen had been conducting in patients with ovarian cancer. He stated that the trial was investigating an agent called trebanib, a peptibody designed to block angiopoietin 1 and 2, thereby blocking angiogenesis. The Trinova studies are the studies that Amgen has been involved in for the past several years. It is a study being conducted in patients with ovarian cancer, and we are investigating an agent called Trianon, which is a peptibody designed to block angiopoietin one and two, thereby blocking angiogenesis. So there are three studies altogether. First one, Trinova one, is a study being conducted in recurrent and relapsed ovarian cancer with a backbone chemotherapy of weekly paclitaxel. It is a randomized study, and patients are being randomized to receive either Trianon or placebo.
