My background was in forest research, specifically southern pine research. Very few companies anymore do research and have research programs, and Rayonier was one of those companies that had that, and they still do today. They value forest research and the value that it brings to the company. I wanted to go to a company that number one had a research group, and number two had been around for a long time. I wanted to go somewhere where I could feel safe and secure, and also wanted to go somewhere where I could be promoted both professionally and personally. Rayonier provided all of those things when I came on here five and a half years ago. There may be days that are more challenging than others, but rarely do I wake up not looking forward to what I'm going to do. I don't feel like I come to work. I don't dread it like so many people may dread their job or occupation. I really enjoy what I do. I'm doing what I want to do and what I've always wanted to do, so I absolutely love it.
