About Deborah Kane
Deborah Kane, identified as a nurse from the Windsor region, spoke in 2017 about her membership in the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO). Kane stated that she had been an RNAO member since becoming a registered nurse in 1980. She described the opportunity to meet "hundreds and really thousands of nurses from across Ontario" as the best aspect of membership. Kane said that through the association she has developed friendships and learned about nursing in different clinical settings across the province. She noted that she can draw on the expertise of other members to learn about what is happening in educational environments, which she characterized as "exciting and invigorating."

I'm Debbie Kane. I'm from Windsor region, and for me the best thing about being an RNAO member is the hundreds and really thousands of nurses that you meet from across Ontario. I've been an RNAO member since I became an RN in 1980, and I have so many friends. I learned so much about nursing across the province in different clinical settings. I have friendships that have developed, and I can say this is what's happening in your educational environment, and I can draw from their expertise. That's what makes it so exciting and invigorating to be an RNAO member.
