McGill stated that the leave of absence occurred due to "harassment and corruption" at the department. He said that six individuals were arrested and pleaded guilty, and that the threat was real. McGill also stated that his wife was harassed and followed, and that officers' personal cars were vandalized for exposing corruption. He characterized the arrests and guilty pleas as the "full story."

Hello. The first thing that was brought to my attention from that lying web page by recalling McGill was something about me taking a leave of absence and going to the Boca Raton Police Department because of the harassment and corruption in the place I worked. Thank you for putting that on there, because it happened to be true. I think six guys were arrested in the department and pled guilty, so the threat was real. My wife was getting harassed, followed. A bunch of officers, not only me, were getting their personal cars' tires slashed for exposing their corruption. The result was there were arrests, they pled guilty, and they were exposed. So I know that's the full story. I don't know what they're getting at, but there you have it. Thanks guys.
