To one word: culture. However, obviously for the new employees that would join our company, can't really understand culture in the first day. So there's a couple of things that drive me to show up every day and bring my best at Wyndham. Personally, it provides a good work-life balance, and also it provides the means to have a life that you're looking for professionally. You have an opportunity for growth while also having lots of benefits. Some of them are tuition reimbursement, same thing that happened to me. Employee Stock Purchase Program, retirement account, comprehensive health insurance which is provided within the first 30 days of your employment, and I believe that's the only company in the industry that does that. Now also looking at myself, my first job with Wyndham was a valet and bellman 13 years ago in Atlantic City. And throughout 13 years, the company has provided the opportunity to grow, also supporting me through that growth process. As I was mentioning earlier, the tuition reimbursement which I took advantage of from the company and put myself through college and got my MBA. I love working for Wyndham because we put the world on vacation. Wyndham is the largest vacation ownership in the world. I love the culture, the environment, the leadership, just how we all work together, the unity between sales and marketing and our business operations. It's impeccable. I haven't seen it in any other company I worked for. The company is the largest company in the industry. It is growing. It gives you the opportunity to grow further and further and advance your career. It is a very much a positive environment for us. We come over here every single day and treat each other like family. I love the people, the environment, just more so of the culture. Everyone's always willing to help and more so work together to get the job done no matter what the job is. So I very much like the environment. I think that's really what keeps me here. Coming from a military background, I've always believed in teamwork. I've always believed everybody has a component that brings a team together in a cohesiveness. The dynamics of Wyndham has created a culture and environment for that, and it afforded a lot of the representatives who probably have never been in a corporate situation to experience it at its fullness, but getting the fundamentals to come to a cohesive understanding.
I love the people I work with the most. Helping people, developing the representatives that are on my team, and just being an overall impact in their lives. So it starts with the reps that are on my team, then it trickles down to actually the owners that we help on a day-to-day basis. Why do I love working here? I would say the people and the impact we make, and seeing it day in and day out is probably what drives and motivates me, because we get to see the impact our product makes in our people's lives.
I absolutely love working with Wyndham. I think coming in every single day with amazing people, amazing leaders, with a smile on their face ready to go. I just truly love walking in. There's not one day that I could say that I wake up every morning not wanting to come to work. I truly enjoy what I do.
Why do I love working here? Wow, for starters, the work-life balance is something that you're just not going to find elsewhere, so I use it and use it to the fullest over here. But also, I mean, the prestige, right? Doesn't everybody want to feel really good wherever they go to work? I'm not taking away anything from anyone. If you're working more, kudos to you. But the visuals that we get here and the name that we stand behind of Wyndham kind of makes me feel a little special. I love the community. I like how supportive everybody on your team is. I love the growth opportunities, as well as just the properties in general that we have to offer, the benefits that we have to offer. There's so much more than just working here. There's also things like the health insurance benefits, the vacation packages, the discounts. It all really just comes back to Wyndham being one of the top companies you can work at.
Wyndham has a reputation as being like in sports you have big franchises, right? The New York Yankees. Wyndham, in my view, when they recruited me to come here, was the company. They've been around for over 50 something years at the time. It was a place to be. And to be recruited by a company as big as Wyndham was somewhat an honor. It made me feel like, hey, my career is going towards something. So that was very exciting.
