He stated that he first declined a job offer from a regional manager, citing personal circumstances such as building a house and his wife's pregnancy. My name is Brendan Slui. I'm the Managing Director of Rayonier in New Zealand. Yeah, I got a call from a regional manager of Rayonier who was looking to recruit for a senior forester role and gave me a call. At the time, I was building a house and my wife was pregnant. And while sort of interested, it really wasn't enough to tip the balance, I said. Anyway, about six weeks later, I got another call from the regional manager to say, you know, it's a great company. Why don't you come up at least for an interview, just to see if you like the company. And I agreed and I went up and whilst doing the interview, an opportunity to meet the general manager of Forest Resources at the time. And really, he inspired me with the comments he made about Rayonier, its culture, its people, and how the company was making smart decisions to create long-term value.
