My themes are focused on family, love, creation, and the Creator. My music is modern, versatile, joyful.
Singing for me is a necessity. There are two types of singers: the one who sings because they are already happy, and the one who sings to be happy. The day I don't sing, I feel sick. I need to sing to live, and people like what we do.
I believe the key to being truly happy is to serve others, love others, and do everything with love so that it has value. For me, this is something I need to do and want to do all my life.
A wise elder once said, 'He who does not live to serve does not serve to live.' So I understand that I must serve in some way with the talent that God has given me and share it with those who have accepted us, who need us, and who are about to receive this message.
God's gift is life. Look toward Calvary, ask forgiveness from the Creator. May He guide your steps and change your life, and you will feel happy with Jesus guiding you.
They say he who sings prays twice. One of the songs I most like to sing and share with families is 'The Painter,' because it reflects more than a father-son relationship, a friendship with my father. I describe what he meant to me, his features, his wrinkles, his sacrifice. That song was born the day before his birthday when I surprised him with it. I took him to the market, and there was a painter drawing. I told him not to make a caricature of my father, but to make it as real as possible. He drew him so perfectly, and from that came the inspiration, seeing the details in each wrinkle, his demeanor, his sacrificed and wrinkled hands, his white hair. I describe a father and the value fathers have while we have them, so we should value them as they are, someone who gives his life for his children, lives and dies for them. All fathers reflect God, who dies for those he loves.
In his countenance you can see the mark of the journey. More will than strength the man has, despite the harshness of fate. Paint that in his face there is hope, love, faith, peace, pain, temperance. And when looking at your painting, may the viewer realize what a father has before it's too late.
I think if we sang together, there would be fewer wars, fewer problems. Singing can be for you smiling, giving advice, crying with someone, sharing sadness and joy, lending a shoulder.
I have sought you in the bird and the flower, in the rain, in the sky, in silence, in my dreams, every night you were there. I invite those artist friends to build with our song and bring a positive theme to the future.
