Safety is the number one priority at Otter Tail Power Company. It has been and will always be that way. It's a value for us, and by a value we mean that we provide a safe workplace and we expect safe work practices from our employees. We start every one of our executive teams with a safety message to demonstrate that it's important across all levels of the organization.

One of the things that we've been working on over the last couple years is moving safety from a value to behavior. Everyone believes that they want to work safely, but what really matters is that their behaviors demonstrate that they work safely.

My advice that I give today is that we're never done with safety. We can be very proud of the past performances that we've had and look at that as learning experiences, but what really matters is how we're going to perform our next task safely.

I'd like to close this morning by wishing the Minnesota Safety Council a happy 90th anniversary. It's quite an accomplishment to be in an organization that's been around for that long. But for us, it's an extremely important organization, and with that, we say thank you.
