Thank you, Dan. I'm going to have to give you your $20 later, extra $20 for memorizing it. How are we doing today? Good. How was lunch? I've had a blast getting to meet and know some of you. It's amazing the group that you guys have. It's really something. I can feel tangibly. I've spoken to many companies and corporations, but I noticed the smiles with everybody here. You guys like each other. It looks like you move within different groups. It's really fun to be a part of it. First, I'd like to thank Dan and Daryl, Melissa, everybody who's brought me here, and congratulations to each and every one of you, the top 65 producers. Come on, give yourselves a round of applause.
Well, since you're one of the top producers, that also means you're a leader. So today we're going to talk about leading to win. You know, when I was a Denver Bronco, at one point we had a head coach who had three things on the door on the way in, three things on the door on the way out, and the plan is to hopefully win enough divisional games to get to the playoffs. I had another coach that said in April, we have one goal: that's to win a championship. And if you're not in, get out now. Team A had three things on the door on the way in, three on the way out. Team B had one goal. Which team do you think was more successful? B. Team B. We won a Super Bowl. And oh, by the way, I then went to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and that's how they talk as well. The standard is the standard, the Pittsburgh Steelers say, right? So if you're going to be a leader—and you are because you're here—let's make sure you lead to win. Let's talk about the things that you have to overcome. I want to give you tools to make sure you're successful, not just in your professional life with your high net worth clients, but with your personal life as well, as the fathers, mothers, husbands, sons, daughters that you are.
So we're going to talk about mindset. We're going to start there because mindset really is—see if this is working? Other way? Yes. All right. We're going to talk about mindset because mindset is where you lead from, right? And real quick too, some of you might say, 'Well, I'm not a leader even though I'm a producer,' but remember this quote from Dr. Martin Luther King: 'Everyone can lead because everyone can serve.' Do you serve your clients? I'm sorry, I couldn't hear that. Do you serve your clients? Okay. So as a service leader, as a leader, make sure you lead to win. Now we're talking about mindset, where you are leading from. Then I'm going to give you one word to be an authentic leader anywhere you go, whatever meeting you find yourself in. And then I'm going to give you one secret not just to winning a championship in the NFL, but to win a championship in your life and to enjoy the journey wherever you go. A lot of you spent time in the Twin Cities, correct, at one point or another. So we're all the same that we'll go from May to August, right? Then we're not going back during the winter. But even if you find yourself in the Twin Cities, I'll give you one secret to make sure you enjoy the time while you're there. If that sounds good, say good. All right, let's get started and let's talk about mindset.
There are over 1,600 NFL players who will take the field this year, and only 53 will call themselves champions. And it all comes down to their mindset. You have products that are similar to other companies that clients can choose from, but what's your mindset that makes you different individually and as RBC? Mindset is the most important thing when you fail, when you have success. We all experience embarrassment, success, failure, pain, but how we handle that success, what mindset we have, that determines how far you can go.
