As a dual member, I find it very exciting because it produces some fantastic papers in the most cutting-edge science, particularly in the area of biological chemistry, and covers a wide range of techniques which some of the journals don't pay attention to. It's a very well-established journal, and that's one of the reasons even I myself try to publish as much as I can in JBC.
