About Jodie Hughes
Jodie Hughes, who serves as Director of Regional Commercial Real Estate and President of the Washington Region at Truist Financial, has been active as a Christian speaker and author. In an August 2024 message titled "Hinder the Hinderer," Hughes stated that "we've stepped into a season of Revival and harvest Awakening in America, but it has coincided with a season of increased warfare." She told attendees that "my people are called to hinder the enemy, not the enemy hinder my people" and that "you are anointed to hinder the enemy's plans." Hughes also called for an "army of intercessors" and declared that "no weapon formed against me shall prosper." In a March 2022 broadcast with Larry Sparks, Hughes discussed the phenomenon of seeing repetitive number sequences such as 11:11. She said that "God can speak using anything" and that "when you see unusual repetitive numbers showing up again and again, God may be trying to get your attention." Hughes distinguished this from numerology, which she described as "new age and not sourced from the Spirit of God." She cited biblical passages including John 11:11 and Revelation 11:11, and recounted a dream in which she "saw a coffin with America in it" and interpreted the number 11:11 as a sign of "resurrection power and awakening."

To it, I'm like, hey, that's a little bit crazy. However, I have become convinced in this last season of one thing: that God can speak using anything. Listen, I mean, Jody, you know, if He can speak to me in the movie Spaceballs or Sister Act or Billy Joel's song 'We Didn't Start the Fire,' I can guarantee you folks who are watching right now, He can speak through number sequences. So come on, I mean, He spoke through a donkey, didn't He?

So with all that said, I, along with many of you—I mean, I posted this on social media and everybody's like, 'I've been seeing 11:11, that number sequence of 11:11 a lot.' That the Spirit of the Lord is using that as a sign. No, it's not theology. No, we're not looking into the Bible and pulling something out of context. I refuse to do that. We have a high regard for the Scriptures, but I believe the Lord is pointing to something as a sign. And I believe in the midst of all the crazy going on, you guys are going to be stirred after watching this broadcast. But we listen, I hope we can make it through. If all of a sudden my screen goes blank, that just means I went out and the Holy Ghost laid me on the ground. Come on. But I want to start. I'm going to go right to you, Jody. Yeah, can you give us a little bit of a context of how God breathed and useful for teaching?

And so I want to say this: whenever God speaks to us, it never violates Scripture, and that includes when speaking to us through numbers. I want to also say this: God's first language is not English, and He speaks in many languages, and He speaks in many ways. Even Hebrew, you know, the Hebrew language has pictorial meanings, it has numeric meanings. And when God is releasing Scripture, it has multi-layered meanings. And we all know that God speaks to us through the Word, the Bible. He speaks to us through His creation. He speaks to us through dreams—dreams are all the way through the Bible. He speaks to us through waking up in the morning and you see a rainbow. God used a rainbow in Scripture to speak hope to the children of God. And God's speaking to us all the time, and numbers is just one of the ways that God often speaks to us, especially in this season. And I want to say this: it is not numerology. I know Larry will agree with me on that. Numerology is, you know, it's goofy, it's New Age, it's not sourced from the Spirit of God. What we're talking about today is when you see the repetitive, unusual, just showing up of the same number over and over again. The receipt comes to 11:11, going and talking to a friend or writing a document and you check the word count and it's come to 11:11. All those kind of things where for you, you know God's getting my attention and He's saying something. And then, 'God, what are you saying to me?' Just like you would if you're watching a movie, like you talked about, Larry, Spaceballs, and a line just jumps out at you. It's no different to seeing 11:11 or 22:22 repetitively all the time, or seeing 1-2-3-4 or 3:33 and going, 'God, you're getting my attention. What are you saying to me?' And then allowing the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to interpret what He's saying.

Pretty crazy too, except it started happening to us, and then we were like, 'God, you've got to speak to us because what are you saying? Why do we keep seeing these same numbers over and over and over?' And it's been a great journey, fun journey. And I want to say this: God's fun, and I love that He speaks through repetitive numbers because it messes with the religious spirit and it brings fun to God's people. And He's always backing it up with His Word and giving us a message. And I love what you're saying. I mean, God's first language, it's not English, it's not even Hebrew or Greek. I mean, God speaks so many different ways. You know, one of the things that the Lord has shown me is that we don't necessarily have some sort of prophetic meaning to certain things and say, 'Basically, well, 3:33 anytime you see that it means this,' and be rigid about it. But I love what Jody was giving us the context for: when we see something like that, it's designed to lead us into a conversation with the Holy Spirit. And that's what I've been doing. I'm like, 'All right, I mean, Jody, just to let you all into my process, like I've been seeing this nonstop. You know, I've been telling you, I'm like, I don't even believe in this stuff.' Isn't it funny how many crazy things of the Kingdom? It's like, 'I don't even believe in that,' and then it happens to you. 'I don't believe in that laughing in the Spirit.' Well, you know, try saying that as you are laughing. But what happened with me? As I've been seeing it repetitively, particularly in the context of time—what time it is. I'll look at my phone. I mean, how can it not just be sheer coincidence that I would choose to look at my phone frequently and it would be 11:11, or my car clock would be 11:11? And it would always be for me in the context of time. Okay, it is 11:11 in the morning or 11:11 at night. So I did the only thing I knew to do. Remember, I didn't believe in this stuff, so I'm like, 'Okay, God, I'm going to get out my Bible and I'm going to go read every chapter 11 in the Bible.' Yeah, God, there's surely something you're saying because, folks, come on, it gets to the intellect. So I started to read every chapter 11. I read the neighboring chapters for context as well. I'm like, 'Okay, okay.' And honestly, I didn't get the breakthrough I was looking for, so I was like, 'Okay, well, but here's the problem: God continued to present this in front of me, 11:11, 11:11.' And then it really started to make sense to me only recently, Jody. This is why we're doing this broadcast. Probably in the last week, I actually feel like that is a prophetic word to me and a prophetic word to the church, where now I stand with great conviction and resolution and clarity. But it's been a journey. So what really got me thinking and second-guessing it in a good way and saying, 'All right, what do you say, Larry?'

It's not a formula. It's always when God speaks to us, it's about relationship, it's about His Word. And so God can say one thing to one person and then it has a different meaning to you, never violating Scripture. But I believe there are themes right now, and there is a kairos moment where God is releasing a word on 11:11 right now. And I'm going to share what I'm going to say, but I want to encourage people that we have an article on our website just about God speaking through 11:11 and 22:22, different numbers. And the reason I'm saying this is for a purpose: I want you to know that God is speaking to people all over the nations right now through numbers like 11:11 to wake up and get the attention of unbelievers all around the nations. And I know that because we get their messages just from reading that article on our website. And on that article, we lead people into Jesus through just waking up night after night after night and seeing on their phone 11:11. How cool is God that He can use even just a little number where people just keep seeing it on their phone, to the point where unbelievers even are saying, 'What the heck is going on?' and looking up 11:11 and then reading an article and finding out God's speaking to their heart. And so I tell people, God can speak in personal ways to Christians and unbelievers alike, and He's doing it in a great fun way all over the nations right now. So our journey, my journey with 11:11, it's been a long journey. Like I said, it started out with us going, 'What is going on? God, what are you saying? Because this is driving us nuts seeing 11:11 over and over.' And God started to speak to me about John 11:11. And especially God spoke to me about John 11:11 some years back now. We were in America at the, I think it's called the Old South Church. At that church, God spoke to me there also about John 11:11. And John 11:11 says this, and it brought some just peace and it just leapt off the page. John 11:11 says this: 'Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up.' And that's talking about awakening, resurrection power. He's talking about, you know, my friend Lazarus. We know the story: Jesus' friend Lazarus died, was in the grave, and Jesus said, 'But our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up.' And I knew God was saying that part of the puzzle about 11:11 that God kept showing me. Then I had a dream. In the coffin was America. Now this gets good, so nobody get distressed by this. In the coffin was America—this was in my dream. And then I saw a beam of light come down suddenly over the coffin with America in it, and into the beam of light I saw a hand reach up into the light out of the coffin that had America in it. And I saw in my dream 11:11, and I knew God was saying in my dream John 11:11: 'Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up.' And as I woke up, I knew that God was saying to me—now the night that I had that dream, we had just arrived in America. And God put a word in my heart that in this season, God specifically was saying, 'My friend America has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake her up.' Now by extension, because I know many people are watching who are not from America, by extension I knew that meant the nations. But because I had that dream at the end of 2019, I knew that as this season has played out, that God was saying, 'Yes, there's stuff going on, and yes, it will look like our nations are dead in the ground. Yes, it may look like people's dreams and destinies are dead in the ground. But awakening, resurrection power is for this season, and God is decreeing and reminding us even through every time we see 11:11, it's a reminder of resurrection power and awakening. Decree it: America, you're coming out of the grave. Your dreams, friends who are watching, they're coming out of the grave. The things and the promises that God has spoken over your life, they're coming up out of the grave. That awakening and resurrection power is for this season.

I remember you sharing that in California, yeah, when we were doing the tent revival with Jesse and Parker Greene. Folks, I want to be very clear as we're leading this broadcast: I know right now people are hearing a lot of things and they're interpreting it through a political lens. This is not a political broadcast. No, I feel the fire of God on making that clear. Come on, this is a statement of what God wants to do regardless of what the conditions are, regardless of what the circumstances are. And this is something that I have been so deeply scared about. I've given my life—I mean, I've followed the Lord now for 21 years. I am so grateful for Ben and Jody. They are revival practitioners. I am a person who has studied revival, I have ministered and taught on revival, but Ben and Jody, we are so grateful. I speak on so many—I'm sure many who are watching now know you guys—but we are so grateful that you have come over here from Australia to the United States. And I say that because of this: when you guys came over here the last couple years, I felt like the Lord said, at least to me about you guys, 'Well, God, they had a great move of God.' For those of you who are not familiar with Ben and Jody, well, tell them, Jody.

Well, like you say, it was a powerful, blow move of God that came known as the Pineapple Revival on the Sunshine Coast of Australia, because it was held in a building called the Big Pineapple. It had a literal 50-foot pineapple out the front of it, and it became affectionately known from then on as the Pineapple Revival. But God suddenly broke out, and from night one there was just a power and a presence and a weight of His glory in our gathering. And people started coming from all over the nation and all over the nations. And the weight of God in that place, the joy of God in that place, the miracles, the salvations—what God did was incredible. And so that's my grid. I know that God is going to break out in greater ways than what I've experienced, and I've experienced the move of God. In this season, when God's saying awakening, when He's reminding us even through simple little numbers over and over of 11:11, God's giving us a message of hope. He's giving us a message to speak deep into our hearts. If I can pull Lazarus out of the grave, I can pull your dreams out of the grave. If I can pull Lazarus out of the grave, I can pull a nation's destiny out of the grave. I can pull your family's destinies out of the grave. And so when we're seeing so many of us seeing 11:11, God is trying to get our attention. He says, 'I have resurrection power.' So cry out to me for resurrection power in our lives, our families, our finances, our nations. And God's stirring faith in us. And so for me now, when I see 11:11—and I've been seeing it in just repetitive, crazy increased ways lately—for me it's a kiss from heaven of God saying, 'Jody, stir your faith. Decree what I'm saying. Don't look at what the world is saying. Don't look at what the enemy is saying. Look to me. What am I saying?' And for me, it's a reminder to stir my faith, to decree revival, to decree resurrection power, to decree that this is the hour of awakening. It is the hour of harvest, and it is the hour of the Lord.

You know what? To be honest, I can understand. Yeah, I can understand because sadly there have been some. But here's the deal, and I know, Jody, this is not just some person I just decide, 'Well, they have a book or they have this.' These are people I run with, these are people I have a high level of trust for. And here's the good news, folks, and let this encourage you, okay? This is not even a prophecy. This is not us predicting something. I want to declare it right now on the authority of the Word of the Lord of what's going on. I'm not talking about what's coming one day, someday. Folks, we don't preach that. I don't preach revival's coming one day, someday. Folks, a move of God is here right now. I know our eyes are all over the place. I know we're looking at the news and we're looking at the circumstances. But I can tell you about a place in California. He's been doing that since the summer where COVID was supposed to have shut everything down. Our friends Parker and Jesse Green on the beaches of California are seeing people saved, healed, delivered, water baptized, giving their lives to the Lord and discipled. I can tell you about a place in the sticks of Alabama called the Ramp, where a lady named Karen Wheaton, who used to be a singer you might have seen on TV for like 20 plus years, has been leading a remnant army of young people. I believe God is raising up a revival remnant out of the Ramp. I see people in Peoria, Arizona—Kim and Paul Owens, Fresh Start Church—five years in revival, this fiery intercession warfare that's coming out of that place. And then the North Georgia revival. Although the revival in North Georgia is not about anybody, there's no celebrity. God is just visiting. Well, God's just visiting people as they get baptized in the water. And I can tell you it's true because I was with Todd Smith and Anna and a few other people baptizing people in the Jordan River in Israel. And as people went under that water, not because they were doing something ritualistic, but they're saying, 'It's time for me to just give my life as a living sacrifice.' And I understand this much: fire falls on sacrifice. We saw people overwhelmed by God so much so they couldn't get up out of the water. They had to float down the river, and then we just sent them to our friend Anna Werner to finish him off. So I just wanted to share that thought on this, and then we'll see where the Lord takes it as we finish things up.

Yeah, and I started to say this before: Jody and Ben are here. Their eyes have seen revival. God has brought them from Australia to the United States, I believe for such a time as this. 11:11, I believe it's a word of revival, of resurrection, of awakening, of the move of God. Last thing I'm going to share here is yeah, we got John 11:11, but somebody pointed out to me, 'Look at Revelation 11:11.' I said, 'All right, I'll look at that.' And it says this: Revelation 11:11. 'Now after the three and a half days,' talking about the two witnesses, 'the breath of life from God entered them, the two witnesses, and they stood on their feet.' Resurrection. And I love this: and great fear fell on those who saw them. The fear of God, the holiness of God, just as we see here in a beautiful type and shadow. But goodness, I believe it's time. That's why I was like, 'Why do I—' because everybody, I posted this stuff on social media. So many people are like, 'I see 11:11. This is amazing.' And I asked the Lord, 'God, why do I keep seeing it on a clock? I don't really see it anywhere else. I see it on a clock.' Well, and the Lord said, 'You see it on a clock because it's time.' You see 11:11 on a clock because it's time for revival, for awakening. It's time.
