About Jason Carroll

Jason Carroll, CEO and Executive Director of Entropy Neurodynamics, discussed the company's progress in psychedelic drug delivery during a May 2026 interview. He described the company's approach as delivering a precise IV infusion of psilocin, the active ingredient in psilocybin, which he said offers more control and less variability compared to oral psilocybin. Carroll highlighted recent clinical results for the compound TRP 803 in treating irritable bowel syndrome, presented at a major gastroenterology conference by researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital and Columbia University. He stated the results showed a 75% responder rate in a treatment-resistant group, which he described as the strongest result of any IBS therapy. Carroll outlined upcoming milestones, including data from a binge eating disorder study expected in July and a second cohort in the fourth quarter of 2026. He also said the company is close to announcing a parallel study involving over 60 patients across multiple indications, which he described as the most significant study of its kind in psychiatry. He noted that the company's primary focus remains psychiatry, but the IBS results provide a potential parallel approval pathway through gastroenterology.

Python is this very well supported language. It has all these different plugins, all these different packages that you can use to do all sorts of numerical analysis and all this great stuff that you would want to do as part of an algorithmic trading company. But it's not very fast, so then you need C++ or you need some other mechanism, maybe it's hardware, for running as fast as you can in the live trading environment. And what we've done at HRT is we've been pushing as hard as we can to get more and more of the work that algo does in Python. It's a lot more intuitive in many ways than C++, and certainly much more than any hardware programming language. And then we manufacture tools and processes by which we can take those ideas and turn them into really, really fast trading strategies. And then we take care of as a technical team making sure that that gets translated somehow into the fastest strategies possible.
