Well, this morning we had presentations from various Republican candidates for president. What was your impression of the candidates' presentations and the topics that they addressed?

I think the most special thing of today is the candidates came to present to the Republican Jewish Coalition, where they believe that RJC is important and that each and every one of them came and communicated with us about the issues that mean so much to the Jewish people and to the United States. We are both Jews and Americans, and the issues that connect Israel, the United States, and the Jewish people have never been closer. And as they said, 'Never again,' and here we're faced with the atrocities that are taking place. Each and every one of the presidential candidates that presented today were all 100% supportive of Israel and the Jewish people. The issue of anti-Semitism was dealt with, where everyone commented that it has never been this bad, and it is something that in this country we can't take our freedoms for granted. We will have to make extra efforts to educate, especially the younger kids. We've seen mostly the college kids acting up, but this is a lack of education. Our obligation leaving here today is to support the process of a free election, and may we select a president here that will support Israel and the help of all mankind.

Now, the issue of Israel seemed to have dominated the speeches, but Jewish Americans now have an even greater concern of the Islamic anti-Semitism, the leftist anti-Semitism that's acting out in public on TV and intimidating and even inspiring violence against Jews, hostility against Jews. You think that's something that ought to be addressed here because it wasn't addressed in these candidate speeches?

I think the candidates are all aware of the issues of anti-Semitism and how it's acted up over the last three weeks. The interesting circumstances: we as Jews, as Americans, can no longer be naive to the fact that anti-Semitism is still out there. It needs to be dealt with. We have lived in an assimilated society for the past decades with really not having the issue as it is today. So now that there's a problem, we need to go to work to deal with it. But most importantly, we're here today to help in the process of selecting a president for the United States of America. And I'm supportive of whichever candidate is elected to represent the Republican party. That's who I'm going to support.
