I was raised in a great moral home, just an amazing home. DAV's is a great man, still alive to this day. There's a marine back in the day who did the Olympic lifting and also did the bodybuilding. Growing up as a young man, I wanted to be just like that. I wanted to be the biggest and strongest in the bathroom, and frankly I didn't care who I had to run over to make that happen. So as a young man, he trained me in powerlifting. Then at 15 years old, I won a Teenage Mr. Georgia. One of the hope contests was like, man, I'm on my way. I thought maybe that was my ticket to have all the fame, fortune, popularity, prestige, the girls, the fast cars, and the money. That's what I wanted. So I continued to do that, but I started hanging around with people I shouldn't have been hanging around with and making poor decisions. I was still doing that. At 17 years old, got arrested for underage drinking, but still was weightlifting. Then at 19 years old, I won a Teenage Mr. Atlanta bodybuilding contest. I thought, man, I'm on top of the world. But at that same time, I was not only using drugs, I started selling drugs. I was using steroids and selling steroids. Things got really, really dark. On the outside I looked great, but on the inside I was a wreck. Then at the fitness center in Marietta, I met a young lady and she invited me to church. I thought she was pretty and I heard she was godly and really stand-up. I went and I heard this guy preaching about Jesus. He looked like he was having fun. His eyes were this big and veins sticking out of his neck. He was having fun. He was excited about this Jesus guy that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus. A couple months later, I made the most important decision of my life and became a Christian. I got off of all the drugs through the Lord's help. I got a Lord, Savior, Father, Friend, Daddy, and a King in heaven to an abundant life. But not only did it stop there, but seven months later after I made the most important decision of my life and became a Christian, that lady who invited me to church, she's been my wife for almost 28 years and we've had five beautiful children. Now He's allowed me the opportunity to go out and share the gospel with others. I'm just overwhelmed at the personal relationship that the Lord Jesus has given me. God bless.
