Key Quotes (5)

“We are announcing the transformation from XPeng as a car company to XPeng Group. This means we believe that in the past, the automotive industry has been engaged in intense competition on the same track, but in the next 5-10 years, we will see XPeng and many other companies in the automotive industry take a path of differentiated, high-quality development, making unique contributions in AI and phy”

“After the launch of our second-generation VLA, the orders for our entire vehicle series increased by 118% month-over-month compared to April, and for the first-time orders, it increased by 129.3%. This shows that the second-generation VLA has made XPeng's intelligent assisted driving a core reason for people to buy cars. It used to be an added bonus, but now it has become a must-have.”

“While the overall passenger car sales in China dropped by 26% year-over-year from April 1st to 19th, XPeng's sales during the same period increased by 74% month-over-month and 56% year-over-month after the launch of the second-generation VLA. This proves that high-level intelligent driving can truly change user behavior from 'needing to use' to 'must buy'.”

“The XPeng G9 flagship SUV features a 'Dragon Fish Safety' system, bringing the redundancy capabilities of our flying cars to the vehicle. About Xiaopeng He

He Xiaopeng, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Xpeng, recently led a global media road test of the XPENG G9L in Munich, highlighting the vehicle's dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and integration of Google Maps into global models. He stated that Xpeng is the first among China's new carmakers to integrate Google Maps, which he said improves autonomous driving performance. He also discussed plans for future VLA systems to support voice commands, allowing drivers to describe destinations without navigation. During the test, he emphasized the vehicle's stability, quietness, and agility across highways, tight lanes, and rough tracks. In an interview with Li Dan, He discussed Xpeng's broader ambitions in physical AI, including humanoid robots and flying cars, and expressed hopes for Xpeng to become a leading physical AI company. He also shared views on car industry profit models, suggesting revenue comes primarily from car sales, followed by services such as maintenance, finance, and insurance, as well as technology cooperation and licensing. During Xpeng's second quarter 2026 earnings call, He announced the first round of financing for Xpeng Robotics, raising over US $900 million at a post-money valuation of over US $6.2 billion, with participation from investors including IDG Capital, Tencent, and Alibaba. He stated that Xpeng aims to lead global scale application and commercialization of autonomous driving and build a valuable humanoid robot company. Additionally, in a test drive with a real owner, He discussed the VLA Lite system, which he said aims to maintain safety and comfort in city areas while improving smoothness and stability, with the owner describing the system as "beyond expectations."
