Mike Wirth receives the 2026 Distinguished Business Leadership Award

The world's appetite for energy continues to grow. Reliable and affordable energy remain essential for human progress. The US is the number one producer in the world of oil. It's the number one producer in the world of natural gas. We have a strong, diverse energy economy and it is fundamental to our economic competitiveness and frankly it's the envy of many countries around the world where I travel. Energy is fundamentally intertwined with geopolitics. We have to understand that in the countries where we operate, our industry can help create a better future for people. We can build an economy. We create jobs. We create progress. We enable economic development. And the priorities of the country are things we really have to respect. You have to really trust that you've got good processes to bring in talented people and to help them grow and succeed. And then you have to empower them to apply their unique talents to do things better than I would ever be able to direct. Chevron is stronger, more resilient, and better positioned than ever. And we're excited to show you why we believe the best is yet to come.
