0:28If Jay Chaudhry was 22 all over again and was setting up a company, would it be Zscaler and would it be in a country like India perhaps?
2:43What does Jay Chaudhry really think of the Pandora's Box that could be something of a Molt Book future for AI agents?
5:31Are they justified, especially within the tech and engineering community?
7:15To ensure that these incredibly omnipotent, powerful technologies don't end up in the wrong hands and you actually end up giving the good guys these technologies to ensure that they're a step ahead of the bad ones?
We're living in an AI era, and they say trust is one of the rarest commodities on the planet in an age like this. But I'm sitting with someone today who didn't just wait for a zero trust world, especially when you're talking about cybersecurity. He built the architecture around it. An absolute visionary, OG, a tech titan, so to speak. Jay Chaudhry of Zscaler, what a pleasure to have you on the show.
You know, things are changing from when you left India to now this visit in 2026. You had the AI summit as well. This is a new India, Jay, in terms of many people talking about how there is a certain reverse brain drain. We have startups coming up here in Mumbai and Bengaluru of kids leaving Stanford and setting up multi-billion dollar enterprises. And a lot of Indians watching over here in the mainland and of course around the world would love to seek your advice. If Jay Chaudhry was 22 all over again and was setting up a company, would it be Zscaler and would it be in a country like India perhaps?
I would say yes, in India. India today offers far more opportunities than it did 30, 40 years ago. So, opportunities here are wonderful. I actually do like the reverse brain drain. In some ways, we all kind of feel like US has become more restrictive. But it is, I believe, US's loss and India's gain. Because those bright people are coming and setting up companies here. And India is also a growing economy. For companies to succeed, for businesses to flourish, you need a growing economy, more companies, more people. And India has a lot of it to offer. Now, India is not without its own challenges. But lots of good opportunities for India. So, setting up businesses in India is a good thing. Now, you can set up a business in India to sell in India because India itself is a big market. That's good, but I think India needs to go beyond that. Not just sell in India, but go to the rest of the world and build some of these powerful companies. They can be built. Now, we have some of these companies in India that are competing on world scale, even in manufacturing. The autos of the world are beginning to take off. You couldn't have ever thought of that sometime ago. Indian global system integrators, they've been big success stories. I think India now needs to produce more software companies, more AI companies, and really become successful at the global scale.
But I want to get your thoughts on an interesting story that we covered recently, which was Molt Book. It was sort of a Reddit of AI agents that I'm sure you know all about. But it was worrisome for a lot of us that they were chatting in these encrypted rooms discussing the future of humanity. What is the cybersecurity world? What does Jay Chaudhry really think of the Pandora's Box that could be something of a Molt Book future for AI agents?
