Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of JSW Group, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony for the 25 MTPA expansion at Vijayanagar, calling it the foundation of the world's largest steel plant at a single location. He framed the project as a contribution to building India, aiming for the country to be among the top two or three nations globally. Jindal mentioned plans to form joint ventures with POSCO and JFE to build capacity and produce quality steel. He set an aggressive construction target, noting the previous blast furnace took 41 months and that a world record of 24 to 26 months set in China should be their goal. Thank you. Thank you. Honorable Chairman Sajjan, respected members of board of directors, distinguished guests, my dear colleagues from JSW Steel and Group Companies, ladies and gentlemen. A very warm welcome to all of you on this momentous and proud occasion, the groundbreaking ceremony. I say a landmark step towards building 25 MTPA, the world's largest steel plant, a dream come true. Today is not just a beginning of a project, in my humble opinion, it is a continuation of a remarkable journey from the humble beginnings at Vijayanagar. The journey started with a bold vision. We had our bit of challenges. We transformed everything. At the end of the day, I would say that we have grown step by step through strong vision and leadership, continuous learning and adaptation, relentless execution and teamwork. This journey has been marked by successful expansions, commissioning of world-class facilities, consistent operational excellence, and creation of benchmarks in the steel industry. Each challenge has actually strengthened us, our belief that nothing is impossible when we work together with commitment and clarity. That is what JSW is meant for. Over the years we have learned that the planning must be precise and should be forward-looking, and at the same time the execution must be disciplined and time-bound. Safety and quality must remain non-negotiable. Collaboration across the teams is the key to success. These learnings have actually shaped us to be a stronger, smarter, and capable organization. That is why today the launch of Phase 6, in my opinion, is a bold and a strategic step. It represents our ambition, morning Chairman Mr. Jindal was telling, it is our ambition to achieve newer heights and at the same time our commitment to support India's growing steel demand and at the same time the confidence in our people and your capabilities. In my opinion, this project is not just about capacity. It is about building the future of steel here in India and at the same time strengthening our position as a global leader. But with this expansion comes the greater responsibility. The responsibility to deliver world-class structure to meet the increasing demand in the current Indian scenario and to execute with speed, excellence, and efficiency. Time is critical. Time and again we are telling in the project management, time is critical. We must plan meticulously and execute with precision. Complete construction and commissioning in record time. Dear colleagues, this is our moment. We have done it earlier. We will do it again. Maybe this time even better. For that we must work with unity and I should say the ownership, maintain highest standards of safety and quality. Focus on timelines without compromise. Support each other as one team. The management has got full confidence in this team. On this auspicious occasion, I once again extend my warm welcome to all the esteemed guests and let this groundbreaking ceremony mark the beginning of a new historic chapter in the journey of JSW Steel. I wish the entire team all the very best and success as we embark on this ambitious project. Let us build, let us deliver, let us create history once again. Thank you very much.
