About Gautam Adani
Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, addressed the CII Annual Business Summit 2026 on May 11, where he said that the global economy is no longer "flat" but "fractured," with supply chains being redesigned around national interest. He argued that energy security and digital security are now "the twin foundations of national power" and that a country that controls both its energy and its compute will "shape the century ahead." Adani stated that India must not "import fear" from the Western world regarding artificial intelligence eliminating jobs, and said AI should be built to expand productivity and create new jobs. He noted that the Adani Group has commissioned 35% of a 30 GW renewable energy plant at Khavda in Gujarat and announced a $100 billion commitment to the data center business, including a partnership with Google to build a gigawatt-scale campus in Visakhapatnam.
On May 1, International Labour Day, Adani launched a dialogue series titled "Apni Baat, Apno Ke Saath" for Adani Group employees. He said the group has over 400,000 participants and added that it is adding assets worth ₹1 lakh crore in a single year. He outlined three transformations for the group, including a three-layer model, and said the group is building air-conditioned accommodation for 50,000 workers in Mundra and Khavda. On May 10, Adani led a groundbreaking ceremony in Bihar's Saran district for the Adani Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital, organized jointly by the Adani Foundation and Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital, and said the group aims to invest ₹50,000-60,000 crore in Bihar over the next three to four years.

Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, distinguished heads of government of our partner countries, His Excellency Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat, distinguished ministers, captains of industry, and my dear friends, good morning. It is a privilege to address the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Summit. I take immense pride in having been a part of every one of these summits. Honorable Prime Minister, Vibrant Gujarat is a stunning manifestation of your extraordinary vision. It has all your hallmark signatures: merging grand ambition, massive scale, meticulous governance, and flawless execution. It ignited a nationwide movement as all our states march forward, competing and cooperating to fundamentally remodel India's industrial landscape. The statistics of the past decade are remarkable. Since 2014, India's GDP has grown by 185% and per capita income by a stunning 165%. This achievement is unparalleled, especially considering this decade's geopolitical conflicts and pandemic challenges. Honorable Prime Minister, your achievements on the international stage are equally remarkable. You have taken us from a country seeking a voice on global platforms to a nation that now creates the global platforms. The Solar Alliance platform, an initiative you conceptualized, and your leadership at the G20 platform set a benchmark for a more inclusive world order. Adding the Global South to the G20 is a defining moment in our modern history. Honorable Prime Minister, you don't just predict the future; you shape it. You have reoriented India to become the world's fastest-growing nation and positioned her as the global social champion, driven by the two philosophies of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Atmanirbhar Bharat. And the best is yet to come. With your foresight in harnessing India's youth to build a Viksit Bharat and make India a fully developed nation by 2047, you have ensured that the India of today is poised to shape the global future of tomorrow. Honorable Chief Minister, at the previous summit I announced our investment of over rupees 55,000 crores by 2025. We have already surpassed rupees 50,000 crores across the various sectors I had promised and have vastly exceeded our target of 25,000 direct and indirect jobs. Today I commit to further investments. We are building the world's largest green energy park in Kutch district, generating 30 GW of renewable energy over 725 square kilometers, even visible from space. We are expanding the green supply chain for an Atmanirbhar Bharat and creating the largest integrated renewable energy ecosystem. This includes solar panels, wind turbines, hydrogen electrolyzers, green ammonia, PVC, and expansion in copper and cement projects. Over the next five years, the Adani Group will invest over rupees 2 lakh crores in Gujarat, thereby creating over 100,000 direct and indirect jobs. I am grateful for your support. It is my commitment that I will do my part to contribute to a Viksit Gujarat. Thank you. Jai Jai Garvi Gujarat, Jai Hind.
