About Subhash Chandra

Dr. Subhash Chandra, chairman of Zee Entertainment, has continued hosting his motivational talk show "SACH," where he has addressed topics including relationships, self-coaching, and the role of religion in society. In a June 2026 episode recorded at Zakir Husain Delhi College, Chandra discussed relationship-building, stating that "relationships are built without any give-and-take and such relationships last long." He also said that to build a relationship with someone, one must "come to their level" and cited the example of communicating with a driver in simple language. In other episodes, Chandra distinguished between "action" (goal-oriented, thoughtful work) and "activity" (routine existence), and argued that talent is inborn and cannot be transferred, contrary to what some coaching programs claim. He defined a good coach as someone who "only brings out what is inside you" rather than teaching new knowledge. Chandra also expressed views on religion, stating that "humanity is being divided by the narrow thinking of religion" and that most killings worldwide have religion as a basic factor. He described Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity as "ideologies or ways of worship, not dharma," asserting that "dharma is universal." On political matters, Chandra criticized opposition to the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, saying that while he accepts opposition to his government or party, "do not oppose the Char Dham Yatra," calling it a matter of dharma, the state's prosperity, and employment. He also encouraged service to the poor, suggesting that donating a percentage of one's income leads to household happiness and positive energy.

After 26 years of starting the first private sector national news television channel by the name of Z News, today Z Media Corporation, the company, through six different Indian languages, is serving the whole nation. And we have today 25, 26% of the news-watching population, and we have almost 33%, or 330 million, almost 36 crore people, logging into our digital property of the news. This was my desire that we should not leave any dark spot in any part of the country. Hence, today I am happy, friends, that we are launching all the four South India properties in all four languages, which is Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil. Though I will want to remind some of my friends in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh that Zee was one of the very first movers to have a Telugu news channel running from Hyderabad, but due to certain restructuring etc., we had to switch it off. But today again, we are back with all the four languages. We have been able to get a very competent team of editors: Manjush Gopal for Malayalam, Ravi for Kannada, Savvy Stanley for Tamil language, and Bharat Kumar Futile. I hope all of you, our fellow Indians in South India, will give us their love and affection, and also not only watch the news in their own languages, but also guide us, or keep guiding us with whatever are their thoughts, whatever our shortcomings, whatever our good points. Please support the team, and at the same time, guide them if they are making any mistakes. Also, I would like to say a few more words: that Z Media Corporation, as a company, is believing in world is one. With the result, we launched an international global news channel called 'World is One News' (WION), derived out of 'World is One News'. Keeping the same philosophy, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, India is one. We will be filling the last gap of the Kashmiri language very soon; we'll be coming soon with the Kashmiri language channel for the benefit of not only Kashmiri brothers and sisters in Kashmir, but also the Kashmiri brothers and sisters living in entire India and internationally, globally. With this, I wish our team led by Purushottam Jivashnov and all the four editors very, very best. And you know that my expectation from all of you is very high. You have to create new benchmarks in this space of news. Thank you very much. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.
