About Scott Kingsley
Scott Kingsley, president and CEO of NBT Bancorp, participated in a video for the Food Bank of Central New York in which he discussed his involvement with the Boilermaker road race. Kingsley stated that he learned "profound needs" exist in both urban and rural areas. He said he agreed to run the Boilermaker, a 15K race, for the first time while wearing a charity bib, and that his focus shifted from fundraising to creating awareness. Kingsley noted that he raised over $20,000 for the charity and that the experience framed his view that those in a position to help should "do it and do it now." In 2016, Kingsley was present at the Nasdaq opening bell ceremony, where NBT Bancorp commemorated its 160th anniversary and the transition of John Watt to president and CEO. At the time, Kingsley was not yet in his current role; the ceremony featured outgoing CEO Martin Dietrich and incoming CEO John Watt.
